This card is OK for me since I very very rare play in PC games, but I was wondering if I can improve my Windows 7 experience. As far as I know, Windows 7 uses DirectX v10, my built-in card uses only v9.
Also what I want to achieve is less CPU usage (when my x1250 unable to meet certain challenges in Windows 7 then for this calculations is uses CPU)
I don't want to buy powerful GPU like the newest graphic cards on the market, what I need is Eco-friendly (uses not too much Watt) better than currently mine graphic card.
I was thinking about, for example: Radeon 4670 or GeForce 9500GS but I'm not really sure if they are eco-friendly.
I have sent in my computer to get repaired and got it back yestersay. Since then i've been trying to get it to work properly again.I can't play any of the games I used to play before I sent it in to get repaired (for example, Battlefield 3). I can start dota2 but it looks pretty messed up. My computer shows me that I have an nvidia geforce 7025 nforce 630a graphic card.Although it says in the computer description that it SHOULD have a AMD HD 6870 1GB GDDR 5. My screen isn't plugged in the graphic card, since it doesn't recieve anything from there. It is plugged directly to the motherboard. So, from what I understand the nvidia card is the integrated graphic card or am I totally wrong?Anyway, the device manager can only find the nvidia card and I cannot run any game smoothly on this computer. Before I realized this possibility I've tried to download newer drivers for the nvidia card, but it didn't help.
I'm contemplating buying a graphic card, but have no clue on which one to get! I'm not really playing games, mostly for my graphic drawing programs. So looking at my specs what would you guys suggest?
Trying to convert some files to be friendly with my Zune 120Gb and the rest of my media players including Media Center. I would also like the file type to be GPU compatible so it is faster to convert. My Zune is the main thing so it doesn't try and convert when syncing, I am only using it as an external video player for use in my car on long trips for the second set of monitors in it.The Zune will support MPEG-4 and H.264 video but there are specific limits listed.
I would like to upgrade my geforce 7600 GS and was looking at the 9800Gt series, as my card is a silent version I would really like another silent card, Ive had a look around and the only silent one I think will fit my mobo is a Sparkle 9800GT Silent Cool-pipe :
Model number : SF-PX98GT512D3-HPL Cool-pipe Graphics Processing : NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT Core Clock : 600MHz Memory Clock : 1800 MHz Memory Type : 512MB GDDR3 Memory Interface : 256-Bit Shader Clock : 1500 MHz Bus Type : PCI-Express 2.0 RAMDAC : 400 MHz This is the only one I think wil lfit the MSI neo FR board I have without obstructing the sata ports.
Is this card worth moving to from the 7600GS ? I use windows 7 home premium and the only games I play at present are call of duty 4 and call of duty modern warefare 2. I was thinkig that if this card is a better card, I can donate my card ot my daughters pc instead of the 7300GS that she uses.
I recently got new Leadtek WinFast GT 520 grapihic card, I bougth it because I don't use my PC for gaming or so, and after installing new OS ( Windows 7 x64 SP1) I don't have sound, speaker aren't detected, just HDMI outputs, and some kind of virtual spakers. I tried all kind of drivers, updates, enabled on board audio on motherboard in BIOS, anything I colud find online, I checked ports for speakers, even the speakers them selves, it's working. I tried with frend's graphic card, and with it I have audio.
I recently purchased HP Envy which comes with 7690M XT graphic card. The driver which came pre-installed is dated 28/11/2011. I've tried latest catalyst software to update but it gives error of unknown graphic card and driver not supported.
Currently I'm working on an rather old PC with an onboard graphic-chip. I just installed Win 7 and it works great - the only problem is, areo isn't working on this machine... and now I'm looking for an cheap graphic card that meets the necessary requirements for aero. I don't play games or use graphic programs, so I really don't need a good graphic card - all I want is areo to work. So, if there are any recommendations on which graphic card I can buy, I'd very much appreciate any hints!
i've upgrade my systeme to windows 7 32bits from vista 32 bit i had ati x1200 a a video card but now i find vga standard graphic video when i open dxdiag what'
I started with Windows 7 Home Pr. last week, after using XP for about 6 years. I bought the new PC without a new graphic card and wanted to use my NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS until I have enough money to buy a new one. I use the PC only for the MS Flight Simulater X with 3 Monitors and the Matrox TripleHead2Go (Analog). The Screen is expanded over the 3 Monitors.First of all I mentioned, that there is no Driver from Matrox for Win7 matching with the TH2G, I got bad results in resolution and frames and so I tried different old Drivers from matrox and from NVIDIA (f.e. I tried Vista64-Driver).
No chance for better graphics, so I decided to buy a new card, the NVIDIA GTX460 2048MB. It works excellent with good resolution and frames, but now my problem starts.I have only installed the right driver from NVIDIA, no other one, but I didn't de-install any other. Now, when I fire up my PC, every day there is this damned Mini-Dump. Till now, only during starting, today first time during flying. After reboot the PC runs normal.I suppose it depends on my horrible trying with drivers, but I'm not sure how to delete or change which part.Hope you can see anything in the file, if there are more necessary questions,
this is a new computer, but had BSOD problems, so I reinstalled Windows 3 days ago. Today I was using graphic card based rendering engine, photoshop, Indesign, Itunes, etc, and I had my task management window open, but it had low memory and CPU usage. However it crashed saying:0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800035fb9bc, 0xfffff880035d2638, 0xfffff880035d1e90)
My system installed he Windows 7 SP1 a week or so ago - immediately had a problem: my ATI 9600 graphics card stopped working with the upgraded driver giving the error message: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (code 39). The legacy drivers from AMD/AT also did not work - so I am currently stuck with MS standard VGA driver and oval shaped circles at a resolution well below thy native resolution of my monitor. Feedback from MS is that the card is not supported (legacy), however, their Windows 7 hardware compatibility webpage shows the card to be compatible.
I bought my laptop awhile ago and it has 2 graphic card drivers in it. One Intel and one from NVIDIA. It all worked fine until I decided to upgrade my NVIDIA Graphic Card driver. I think this is the cause although it could easily be something else. Either way after the new installed driver there was no way to run ANY program with my NVIDIA card. It does get recognized in the "Device Manager" but no program seems to be able to acces the NVIDIA.So I decided to download the lastest driver from the Dell site and install it. As that was the driver version I used back when it was working but I still seem to have the same problem. I don't really know what causes this.
I tried running a performance test to see if this program could use the graphic card but I seem to have no luck. Accesing the NVIDIA Control Panel and setting the desired program (or the global options) to automaticly run with my NVIDIA Graphic Card above anything didn't seem to pay off. I have searched with google for awhile but it's hard to use google if you don't know what your looking for. I found some things but I can't even tell if there connected to this problem.
i have a big problem my graphic card HD4830 in Windows 7.i just installed Windows 7 my other drive ( D: )im downloaded latest drivers from ati and im installed driver 9.7 version . after im restart pc and problem still there cpu usage %100 i think graphic card driver is not correctly working ? but im sure im installed driver successfully. whatever if you know solution pls write there.
I ve been playing a lot of games without having any trouble with my graphic card .Last thing I remember is I was playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and i did finish itSome days after that while attempting to boot my pc it struggled the first 2 times ( my CPU lights have gone in 2 seconds ) then it boots successfully in the third time. My Monitor was turned on but no display .. First I think the problem might be in the VGA cable but it is not coz when i unplugged it and plug it in the default pin in the CPU, the monitor shows display .. So definitely the problem is with the graphic card . I dust cleaned it and insert it again , no breakthrough but the fan in the card is rotating . I figured that there is a mild problem in my SMPS . I ve red in an article that problems in the SMPS will affect the power supply to the video card . So the real problem is the SMPS ???? or the Graphic card
i had a gforce 8400gs which is spoiled now. i want to upgrade my graphic card within 3500rs i am confuse because i like to play game and all type of card does not support games as well as i use 3d software like 3ds max and Maya.my PC config is P4 3gb ddr2
when it comes to this kind of stuffs, so if you would be kind enough to make your responses "Newbie friendly".My current driver is Nvidia Quadro NVS 135M and i would like to change it to Geforce 6600 or something higher. But i would go with 6600. So if someone could provide me a step-by-step process on
I'm new here because I've been searching everywhere and I can't find an answerRecently, I bought and downloaded The Sims 3 Supernatural, because I'm a huge fan and have all the games. Well, after I played the first time, and shut it off, my screen resolution went really big, so I adjusted that, then I noticed that my computer has been very laggy, and it recently told me it doesn't support 'Aero effects' So, I assumed it was the game, and uninstalled it. Then I re installed it, and now it is telling me that it doesn't have a graphics card to support it. I am not very intelligent when it comes to computers, and I have no idea what to do
I've searched yet in official lenovo drivers pages for video card driver but they not have driver for Vista because it is included in. I tried to download win XP driver and run it in win XP compatibility mode but it not works ...says that it cant find that hardware... where can be a problem?
I just got back to Windows 7 Ultimate from Windows 8.I instantly downloaded World of Warcraft and League of Legends, and i have problems opening both. When i open League of Legends i get the message: could not load direct3d.And when i open World of Warcraft i get the message: Failed to find a suitable display device. Exiting program.I guess its some problem with the graphic card atleast.
So I installed Windows 7 32bit a couple of days ago and I have tried to install the drivers for my NVIDIA 8600 GTS ever since without success. I downloaded several versions from nvidia and none of them work.
The weird thing is is that according to device manager I've an ATI X1200 installed. I tried uninstalling it and installing nvidia drivers but it still doesn't work.
Im clueless, since I have no experience in solving problems with my graphic card. So, if anybody got some tips and things for me to try, I'd be grateful.
Firstly my hardware:CPU: Phenom x3 720GPU: MSI Radeon 6850 OC (bought about week ago)RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066MhzMOBO: Ta790gx 128MPOWER: Seasonic Ss500et 500WMONITOR: Old Daytek 17" (D-Sub slot)Today everything worked fine, but after reboot my monitor didn't display anything. Diode was shining as in sleep mode. I tried to use second DVI port (with DVI->D-Sub adapter) but no difference and PC wasn't running well(no BIOS beep and PC was stopped i think). I unplugged my Radeon card and connected monitor to integrated card and then it was working perfectly. But... I have DVI and D-Sub integrated, first one doesn't work with adapter, D-Sub works... Weird... I decided to plug again my Radeon and check again, but the same as before. I am confused, don't know now that card is broken or maybe this adapter?
