Dual Monitor Display Cut Off On One Monitor - Nvidia Gtx 280
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and am experiencing a dual monitor problem using my nvidia gtx 280. I am using driver version 8.17.11.9562 according to control panel. One monitor is an ASUS 19" and the other is an ASUS 22".
The left 19" monitor displays perfectly but the second 22" (right monitor) has the display shifted hoirzontally to the left so that part of the screen is cut off. I have tried to adjust this using the monitor's horizontal adjust feature but even when it is adjusted 100% to the right (deFault is 50%) part of the display is cutoff.
Does anyone know of another way that this display can be corrected?

NVidia GTX 280 Drivers
I installed windows 7, but cant do any gaming on it as it only has the default driver for the GTX280 which is absolutely atrocious. Are there any Alpha or Beta Drivers released for Windows 7 so that people can really run it through the mill for gaming?

Zotac Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 Graphics Card Install Problem
Installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RTM (Technet) Can not get my Zotac Nvidia GeForce GTX280 graphics card to install. Device manager shows Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Tried Windows update - no graphics drivers Tried Nvidia site auto detect drivers to download (Standard VGA Graphics Adapter -Your PC currently has the latest driver installed for your GPU. No driver update is necessary at this time.) Tried 190.38_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql Tried 190.56_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international Tried vga_driver_nvidia_(win7)vista64_186.18 Reinstalled (clean installs) Win7 several times Extracted each of the above drivers and tried specifying the NV_DISP.inf file always results in: (Windows found driver software for your device but encounted an error while attempting to Install The driver selected for this device does not support this version of Windows). Tried installing Server 2008 (my previous OS) using the manual driver install via inf file it installed first go using vista drivers so proved the hardware works fine still. Tried all the above listed drivers with various compatability modes eg. server 2008, vista sp2, vista sp1 etc. same issue. Updated motherboard bios, reinstalled win7 same issue. Totally out of ideas of what else to try. Anyone have any ideas? If you require any further info please ask. Should I use one of the free Technet Plus incidents on this?

Dual Monitor Display Detect
Have a small problem with dual displays. When ever I leave the second monitor plugged in it tries to auto detect the monitors then goes blank. Same thing if I try do the automatic detect after boot. Boots fine with one monitor plugged in. If I configure it manually I can get both monitors to work fine but then I run into the same problem after rebooting. System works fine under Vista and Win2008. So anyone else have a problem with Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsDisplayScreen Resolution [Detect] ?

No Dual Monitor With Nvidia Quadro CX
I recently installed an Nvidia Quadro CX card under Windows 7 (risky, I know). Although I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia, I can't get the second monitor to display through the displayport-to-DVI adapter. I can swap cables all day long and each monitor works fine with the DVI connector; it's just that nothing is detected when plugged into the second output (displayport). Has anyone else run into this problem with Windows 7 build 7000?

Dual Monitor Problems With NVidia Driver
Running 32-bit W7. NVidia 7600GS with a pair of 1920 * 1200 LCD monitors. The NVidia driver that comes with W7 (including the updated one that is delivered through Windows Update) was causing serious problems with my dual monitor setup. The second monitor would remain blank (actually, in power save) when W7 started. The Screen Resolution window would show both monitors, as if they were working. Repeatedly pressing the 'Detect' button would sometimes - but not always - bring the second monitor to life. Sometimes, pressing 'Detect' would cause the second monitor to be "lost" (undetected), and other times it would cause both monitors to go blank, requiring a hard reboot to recover. If you are suffering these symptoms, I can report that I've installed the 32-bit 181.20 Vista driver and it works perfectly. All problems have gone away. Begin by using Control Panel | Programs and Features to uninstall the NVidia software. Reboot. W7 will start up and then install its original (buggy) NVidia driver. Reboot again. Then simply double-click the '181.20_geforce_winvista_32bit_international_whql.exe' driver file. You don't need to worry about running in compatibility mode or anything. It just installs without bother. Reboot once more and both monitors will work with complete reliability. I thought I'd mention it in case you've got similar problems. NVidia make great hardware but their driver software has always been bloody awful.

Dual Monitor Not Working - Nvidia Geforce 7200m Gt
I'm on a Sony Vaio laptop with a second monitor connected with a VGA cable. I just switched from Vista to Windows 7 and my second 22" monitor is not being recognized under the resolution screen. It worked perfectly fine on vista just hours prior. I tried hitting the detect button, reconnecting the monitor, and restarting. What am i doing wrong? It might be my graphics card, im pretty sure i have a nvidia geforce 7200m gt. cant seem to find drivers for it anywhere. My computer keeps telling me all my drivers are up to date, yet my second monitor is still not recognized. this doesn't make sense. Should i just go back to vista?

RC1 Dual Monitor - Installs On Wrong Monitor
I have a dual monitor system - the video card is an NVidia GEForce 8800 with two DVI outputs. I use the second monitor sparingly. My BIOS boots to the "primary" monitor, and during the install of RC1, most of the dialog occurred on this monitor. I have set up a dual boot system with Vista and W7 and Vista runs just fine on the primary, and I can turn on the secondary at will. So far so good. However, during the last phase of the install of RC1 (this also occured with the first beta), the final output and startup of RC1 occurred on the secondary (!) monitor. It first seemed as though the install hung - the primary simply showed a black screen even though it had been active thrtought the install. I turned on the secondary, and there was all the final install dialog display. I finished the setup there, and then set my main monitor to be primary and now all is well. The fact that some of the install output displays on the secondary monitor is a problem (especially if I don't happen to have that monitor turned on). The entire install should display on the BIOS boot monitor, I should think...

Dual Monitor Issue, Secondary Monitor Is Undetectable
I have just did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate from XP and I am unable to get my dual monitors to work like they did in XP. I have a DVI Radeon graphics card plugged into the agp slot, and a Nvidia geforce vga adapter plugged into a pci slot of my dell optiplex 755. When I am in the screen resolution settings the second monitor cannot be detected. In bios I have 2 options under primary video adapter and they are auto, and onboard card. When set to auto the Nvidia card gets a signal but the Radeon does not. There are no conflicts in the device manager, and all of the drivers are up to date. When I change the bios option to onboard card the Radeon adapter gets a signal but the other monitor cannot be detected and in device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Standard VGA adapter and a code 10 error that states the device could not be started. I have powered down, and unplugged every cable, I also tried to use the integrated VGA adapter to the Intel G31/G33/Q33/Q35 Graphics Controller but the computer will not even boot. I get "System Halted Attention Unsupported Video Configuration Detected" I have two monitors, both work fine as standalone but Windows will not detect either as a secondary. Please help me someone, I am so used to having my helpdesk email open in one monitor and all of my other work in the other monitor.

Dual Monitor Bug - Monitor 1 Crashes
My primary monitor (1)  now causes system to be unuseable after it reaches the sleep mode. I just converted to Win 7 Premium from  32 bit VISTA, where everything worked ok. Windows stays alive if I duplicate the 2 screens because my second monitor still works. Both monitors are DEll E207WFP. The card is a NVIDEA 7300LE. Everything was ok until I upgraded 2 days ago. After reaching the sleep time, the monitor becomes DEAD. I setup the screen saver, but the monitor 1 would not awaken, even though it shows the pictures until I use the mouse to awaken the system. Mon 1 is DVI. Mon 2 is VGA connected. System might stay up if I tell monitors to NEVER sleep --- a waste of energy. I first noticed the problem when I went away while backing up the system and my primary monitor never could recover. The monitor sleeps forever so a power off / power on is mandated.

Erratic Mouse Pointer And Dual Nvidia GTX 275 SLI
The mouse pointer movement is intermitently very erratic with a newly installed Windows 7 RTM. Moving the mouse a quarter of an inch sometimes gives a full screen jump of the pointer. I have tried all settings of the mouse pointer speed control with no effect. If I disable the Nvidia Display Adaptors using the Device Manager the mouse and keyboard work properly indicating an incompatability between the mouse and the display adaptors. However the display is basic VGA. If I replace the Desktop 5000 with a Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard and a Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 everything works normally. Any sugestions as to how to get the Desktop 5000 working properly?

Reliability Monitor Wont Display Graph
Im having a really tough to TS problem with the reliability monitor. For the last week, it no longer displays any data and the graph dosent render. It just display as blank with no data. Some things to note... 1. The RAC published and State data are being updated and published each day as they shouold. So the data does exist. 2. I have tried the "Resetting RAC" methods that worked for Vista. But the fix dosent work for Windows 7. 3. I cant think of anything that may have changed. I havent deleted any folders or log files. 4. I've used Process Monitor to trace the events when the reliability monitor executes and everything looks fine. 5. There are no errors or warnings in the event viewer. 6. I havent installed any Windows Updates. So Im hoping that someone can think of something I am missing here. Oddly it used to work for some time and i ran it each day. Then all of a sudden one day it just stopped. Could this be a permission issue possibly? I do recall changing permissions for C:UsersMeAppData. Are there any folders or logs within that path that might affect RAC? Are there any services that are required for RAC to collect and render data?

External Monitor Display Issues When Not Connected
Well, running Windows 7 ultimate on a Dell xps m1330 laptop. Everything looks good, but at work I am connected to a matrox triple-head-to-go device which is connected to (3) 22' monitors (3840x1280 resolution). Now when I connected it, ran the nvidia app, it found it and worked great. Problem is I get home, no external connected, so running off the laptop with the basic resolution, I am trying to start apps (firefox, stickies, etc.) and I guess they were in other spots at work as I don't see them. I forced a close on FF, then re-started, rt clicking and maximizing which worked, but then other apps like stickies don't have that option. An alt-tab shows it running in the lower right (see screenshot), but there is absolutely no way of getting to the app! I did close the app completely and restarted, but it does restart in a location not on the screen.

Display Settings Are Reset When Monitor Is Disconnected
Nvidia GTX 295 has 2 GPUs and when the HDMI is connected to a monitor Nvidia CUDA sees both GPUs. The generic VGA and HDMI are extended to each other, and the generic VGA channel ("Display device on: VGA") is set as main display. Despite this, Windows is disabling the second GPU (HDMI/Physical display) when monitor is disconnected, so that CUDA no longer can utilize both GPUs. How to I make the settings permanent, so that when computer is no longer connected to a monitor CUDA is able to use both GPUs? Better still: how to I enable both GPUs by default - no monitors attached? Some Nvidia cards like Tesla do not have any monitor outlet.
