Driver For Sata Seagate 120Gb And Sata 2 Samsung 200Gb

I´ve been having some troubles with seeing my usb storage devices in win 7 x64 ultimate edition. Those are 2 usb flash drives, i-pod as well as external hdd-s. every other usb device like wireless mouse/kbd, scanner, digi-cam have been directly recognized and installed by windows. The storage hardware has been also recognized, as i can see it in the device manager (right name and model and so on) but installation of driver fails.

As response i get error code 32 (Device Status: "A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)"). I´ve been searching the problem in different forums for days, but haven´t found any solution yet :(

The only suggestion that might help, was to change sht. in registry but it wasn't said where in it.

My system, in case that might be helpful information:

MSI k8N Neo4
Athon XP64 3200+
3Gb DDR Dual channel
GF 7300GT
1xSata Seagate 120Gb
1xSata2 Samsung 200Gb

Installer Not Find Seagate Sata Hard Drives
I have an intel d975xbx2 motherboard with duo core e6600, 4gb ram, and two seagate sata hdd(1x500gb, 1x250gb). Beta build 7000 64 bit. Was going to install on the empty 250 gb hdd. My issue here is that when the installer goes to find a hard drive none are detected. I wanted to try out the 64 bit OS and got the all the hdd drivers for my motherboard loaded on a flash drive in case they were needed.

The sata drives are configured as Native IDE. I tried having it set to RAID and was going to try with it set to ACHI, but I read in one of the threads that the beta doesn't handle that too well so I decided against that. I really wanted to try this thing out and am very disappointed at my self for not being able to get this done, so yeah.

400GB Seagate Sata Drive Shows Up In BIOS But Not In Windows
I have four hard drivers in my computer set-up and I noticed that it isn't detecting the loan hard drive that is currently empty on Windows 7.  I have a 400GB seagate Sata drive which shows up in BIOS but not in windows.  Also I went to disk management and it wasn't even showing up there.  It's like it thinks the drive doesn't exist.

Any thoughts?

USB To SATA Interface Detected But Not The SATA Drive Attached To It
Install Windows7 RC without any problems.  It detected all hardware and applications without error.  Minor only with ASUS P5Q pc probe.  PC itself running great. Problem is as follows. If I plug an external usb drive into a port it sees and recognises the drive allowing access.

If I plug and external Sata drive in via a USB to SATA converter it sees the converter but does not see the drive attached to it.  Worked Fine in VISTA.  I changed the drive to another.  It was not seen either.  The USB to SATA internface shows no errors.

Sata Raid Driver
Loading Windows 7 on a new computer.

I've enabled the raid 5 in the BIOS

I've downloaded the driver from the Gigabyte Disc onto a flash drive

When I load Windows 7 it says " Windows cannot be installed to this disc. This computers hardware may not support booting to this disc. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computers BIOS menu"

I've checked and rechecked the BIOS and stuffed if I can find this or is my frustration getting the better of me? I also downloaded the MSM64 Driver in the Gigabyte disc and that the one I copied to the flash drive. Confused?

Install SATA Controller Driver
I've just bought parts and collected a new PC system. My Motherboard is AsRock M3A785GXH/128 ASRock > Products > M3A785GXH/128M

and regarding to the manufacturer it should be Windows 7 hardware ready.

But I can't install Windows 7 pro 64 bit on my new system. The Windows 7 installation application can't see my harddrives and want a driver to them. I assume that should be a driver for the SATA controller on the motherboard. I've tryed to use the drivers on the motherboard cd-rom and tryed to use the drivers froms asrock homepage, but Windows 7 wont accept them.

I have contacted AsRock about this issue, but I'm wating for an answer and hoped that you guys might has seen this problem before, and will answer quicker than AsRock Support

I should say that I cant install Windows Vista Business 64bit without any problems at all.

LG Dvd/rw (Sata) Device Driver Missing
Just got the new public version of windows 7 this morning, and now I'm confused. I have a new LG dvd/rw (Sata) which I am trying to use to install windows 7, but I always get this message after I reboot my computer and after the "setup is starting" screen: "a necassary cd/dvd device driver missing" and it asks me to browse / search for the driver.

Now thinking it might be my dvd drive, I got another one.... same story, I tried by loading windows 7 on a 4gb thumb drive STILL happened. As a last ditch effort I tried to disconnect the dvd drive and install using my thumb drive without a dvd drive installed at all and it STILL brought up the problem. Any body have any suggestions?

Intel D975XBX2 Marvell SATA driver needed for Windows 7 Needed

The 4 - port Marvell 88SE6145 is not recognized by my Windows 7 RC 1 Build 7100 install.

Installed Windows 7 (62 bit) onto Intel D975XBX2 ATX Motherboard. I can not get windows to recognize the SATA drives attached to the internal Marvell card. BIOS see the drives, just not windows.

Attempts / steps taken so far:

Attempted to install during system staging via f6, was not able to get Win 7 to recognoze the drivers.

Attempted to install after staging both Windows XP 64 and Vista 64 Intel drivers (STOR_allOS_8.7.0.1007_PV), but the install fails with "system does not meet the minimum requirements).

Tried using STOR_AllOS_F6flpy_1.2.0.51_PV_Marvell.exe during F6 (after unpacking and putting on CDROM of course)

Asus M4N78 Pro SATA Driver Issue
I just recently purchased an Asus M4N78 Pro motherboard, and was building a system, installed Windows 7RC 64bit and I am running into a bit of an issue. The install went fine and everthing, except for the SATA ports 5 and 6 do not detect the drives attached to those ports. According to teh manual I need to install a driver from the disc, and that is teh problem. The disc apparently will not run under windows 7.

Does anyone happen to know where I could get teh particular driver I need? It would be nice to actually use all six of the boards SATA ports. The Asus website was not much help, nor was their customer service line. According to the manual the chipset is NVIDIA GeForce 8300 .... did a search on their site as well and was unable to locate what I need.

Anyone else seen this issue? Is there a Microsoft site with updated drivers where I can go look?

I think the controller is something like 82801GBM or along those lines.

The problem is i'm having is that i can't find any sata drivers for my Promise 378 controller.

I am trying to install Windows 7 x64 edition.

But no luck so far.

In the bios i have set the promise chipset to operate in IDE mode.

Because i'm using only 1 drive.

Tried the VIA drivers for the onboard chipset as well, they only operate in raid.

So those won't work.

Spend like 5 hours online googling for it but no luck so far.

SATA Driver Issue W/ Win 7 And Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H
Using Win 7 64-bit with AMD SATA drivers with a strange issue.

When this board boots up it does an AHCI initialization which shows the attached sata drives. After that, Windows 7 loads and runs without a problem. However, when I reboot Windows it sounds like the hard drives spin speed is slowing down then speeding up again.

It does this about 4 times then the computer shuts down. When the computer restarts and goes back to the AHCI init screen it now shows "S.M.A.R.T. Error", but Windows boots without a problem. If the computer is shut down (powered off) the next boot will not show the error.

I've had Windows 7RC 32-bit, and currently also have XP-64 and XP-32 partitions on this machine with no problems at all. If I set the machine to Native IDE instead of AHCI everything goes back to normal with no shutdown issues.

Any ideas?

SATA Drivers
I'm getting ready to remove Windows 7 RC and install my legit copy of Windows 7 on my PC. My version of Windows 7 is a XP Pro -> Windows 7 Pro upgrade. When I did this upgrade on my laptop, I ran into a bunch of SATA issues because Windows XP does not support SATA on the default installation disk. Needless to say, a few hours later of messing with nLite, my laptop is good to go.

I want to avoid this mess with my PC and already be prepared. I'm trying to figure out what SATA drivers I need to use with nLite for my main PC. Is there somewhere I can go to get this information? Are the drivers based off my motherboard? CPU? Hard drive? Not sure where to start. My laptop's SATA drivers seemed to be based off the CPU (AMD) going by the name of the driver file.

Dvd Sata Drives
ok I had a problem with my bios seeing my dvd drive on start up. fixed that. now I have a question about odd behavior from dvd drive. Ok my bios now see's the drive fine but if I have it chosen to be the first drive on startup it freezes the system unless there is a disk in it.If there's a disk in it and you dont hit any key it then moves on to load windows, but if the drive doesn't have a disk in it,it will just hang there until you restart it.

I dont know if that is typical of a sata drive or not. it just seems weird. So my question is how do I fix this? can I fix this? or should I just always have a disk in the drive?having a disk in the drive isn't all that big a deal but it just seems stupid to have to do that.could this still be a problem with my bios?

I know this is trivial but it is frustrating and doesn't seem normal,so if you have any help we would appreciate it again I have a amd 2.8ghz 64bit  (bios version 10)6gig memati 4850 video card500gb sata hdddvdram sata drive dvdram ide drive...

How To Get SATA Drives To Work ?
as some of you may know ive had a buggerload of problems with my LaCie external HDD, which, slowly, was put down to a faulty drive controller. Having taken out the HDDs held within, ( 2 samsung 500GB HDDs )

ive attempted to get 1 of them working as an internal drive. Ive connected it to the power and sata cable, but when i boot i (perhaps obviously?) am not getting any connection whatsoever. is there something i need to do in bios or something to get it to work? what am i doing wrong? (because invariably i AM doing something wrong).

SATA Drivers Included ?
Am expecting to receive my copy of Win 7 tomorrow, have got my drivers ready but am wondering whether there is an issue with installing Win 7 onto a SATA drive.

Had issues when installing XP as it wouldn't recognise the SATA drive and wouldn't load the drivers either. Ended up making a slipstream disk with the drivers on which took a while to get right.

Does Win 7 install onto a SATA drive straight out of the box or will I have the same problems as I had with XP?

SATA Drive Not Recognized
I attempted to install win 7 RC to my secondary drive.,which is SATA. After loading the drivers from FLOPPY, i was able to install the files onto the drive. After 1st reboot, the machine went into an endless look rebooting. I am assuming that after that reboot, it lost the drivers for the sata drive. my primary drive is IDE. The only way I got to install 7 was empty a partition on my ide drive. This OS does not look ready for prime time, not even a little.
