Download Manager Error / The Server Returned An Error
I keep getting "The server returned an error.  Would you like to retry?" without fail on both the 32 and 64 bit downloads.  Any heads up on guidance?  Is this a server issue?  It's continued behavior from at least yesterday.  Environment is XP x64 through IE.  If you select yes, download manager immediately says connecting, initializing (with a connection rate), and then errors out all within about a second.  Download b/w is >8M connection (just to point out it's not timing out from a dialup connection or anything).

Error:Device Driver Was Not Successfully Installed - 5 Days After Install
So nearly a week after install I get a pop-up saying:

"Device driver was not successfully installed

Generic RNDIS     X No driver found"

Yet my network hardware seems to be working fine (can browse networked devices, web etc.)

Wonder why it took so long to decide it doesn't like my network adapter?

Download 64 Bits Network Print Server
I have a 64 bits Windows 7 notebook installed with Samsung SCX-4725 series PCL printer. For network printing requirements, I tried to install (I am not sure) a 32 bits ZOT Network Print Server which is being used other folks in the office. When I installed the print server, a error message prompted "Failed to add network Monitor". With this message, I still could install the print driver. But upon completion, couldn't print anything with a message "Error Print". Such error message did not appeared when I installed the system under a XP or Vista 32 bits enviornment.

I wish to know what is the problem(s) here? Is it ture that I need to install a 64 bits network print driver.

Download From Win 7 To Server 2008 R2 Network Share Hangs
I've been running Windows 7 and Vista and XP on my home network/domain.  I recently upgraded from Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2 (64-bit).  After doing so, when i download a file from the internet, from any workstation, to a network share, the download is nearly immediate but then when it reaches 99%, it hangs for upwards of 30 - 40 seconds. For example, i can download Adobe Reader, a 32 meg file.  Takes about 20 seconds to download. If i download to my local workstation, again, 20 seconds and it's done.

However, if i download to a network share, 19 seconds in when the download reaches 99%, it hangs for another 30 plus seconds. This never happened under Server 2003 and i'm completely lost.Any suggestions?I was reading these articles about enabling the Firewall Inbound/Outbound rules on the server for BranchCache services, but that didn't resolve the issue. Please let me know what other information you might need and/or if this has been reported by anyone else. The one other thing I noticed after the upgrade...

My wife and I both keep our PST files for Outlook 2007 in our home directory so that regardless of what machine we may log into, we have access to our email.  Our PST's are in excess of 600 Megs.  I personally have 5 PST's, she has 2.Outlook opens normally and functions normally but then for no apparent reason, it just freezes up/goes to NOT RESPONDING.  I feel that this is related as again, this never happened under Server 2003.Lastly, i enabled ROAMING profiles under Server 2003 and logging off and logging into whichever workstation was very quick.

Once i moved to Server 2008, and then enabled Roaming Profiles, i now have about a 3 minute wait as i shut down a workstation and close to a 3 minute wait when logging into a workstation. My Server is overkill with a Q6600 processor and 4 gigs of ram.  My Workstations include one Q6700 processor with 4 gig's ram and the other's are all Dual Core 2 machines, each with 4 gig's also.I'm also on a wired ethernet GIGABIT network.Sadly, all i can say again is that under Server 2003... everything worked flawlessly.AND NOW...

MY DISCLAIMER!  :)I plead ignorance because even though i have fairly good equipment and network infrastructure, I am not a wiz at this stuff.  I do it to learn and have fun.  I am not an amateur, but i am far from an expert too.The main reason i have not gone over to Windows Home Server is first, it's 32 bit, second, i lose the ability for drive mappings, 3rd, i can't "log into it" like a domain, instead i log into local acct's which then log into the home server and 4th, i can't just put in a hard drive with data on it. Logon Server Not Available Error When Login To Corp Domain Server
I just  finished installing Windows 7 RTM version on my 64 bit laptop. Everything seems to be working except I get this error message when I try to log into our corp domain, using my domain userid and password. Here is what I have done so far1. Installed the OS2.

Successfully joined the corp domain (using the domain joining wizard)- it even asked me if I wanted to create the domain account on the local machine3. Rebooted and tried to login, and that's when I get this response saying "no logon server available to logon". Has anyone seen this behavior with windows 7 (vista was working fine). Any thoughts on how to get past this issue?

I recieve the above error message repeatedly using both Win 7 x32 and x64 installations for a while now.  It was working initially and stopped updating recently.  How often should this happen?  How long should it persist?  The error message is misleading:  How do I contact the service provider?

I'm trying to get the listings for OTA television in the Chicago, IL area.

Win 7 Download Fails: Download Files Are Reported Being Bad
I've been trying to download the german version of win7rc from the microsoft website, but unfortunately, this hasn't worked. Each time the download is finished, i get informed, the integrity check wants to get sure, that the file I just downloaded works correctly. After having checked it, it reports that the file is damaged or bad, and I therefore need to download the file again or to abort. In both cases, the old-download gets automatically deleted.

I've tried it again for at least 10 times, but I still have no Idea, why I'm not being able to download Win7 successfully. Do you have any ideas? My OS is WinXP SP3 32Bit.I tried the download with IE7 and IE8.

Error While Trying To Download Win 7 Via MAPS
I have a new MAPS subscription and have downloaded several products successfully. However, when I try to download Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, the download fails.

If I use IE, I can only use the Download Manager. The download errors out almost instantly with only a message of "Error" as an explanation.

If I use Firefox (3.5.3) I can download via Download Manager or Web Browser, but neither one works. Using Web Browser saves a file with a file size of 0 KB.  Download Manager errors out almost instantly but gives the following error message, "Download Manager Fatal Error - Could not find the requested file on the server. Contact the author of the page that contains the link. this download will be canceled."
