Display/monitor 1024×768 Display Size
the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?

Unable To Change Primary Display When Using Dual Monitors
I am running Windows 7 RC Build 7100 in VMWare 6.5. The host OS is Vista x64 Home Premium running on a Dell Studio 1535. I have a Dell monitor attached as a secondary monitor, and I am attempting to share the desktop across both monitors. While I can do that, Windows 7 insists on using the external monitor as the primary monitor, and if I attempt to change the main display to the laptop monitor I am greeted with 'Unable to save display settings.' when I attempt to save. This dialog is shown twice. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a workaround?

Unable To Change Text Size In Display Settings
Under Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Display

When adjusting from "Smaller - 100% (default)" to "Medium - 125%" or "Larger - 150%", icon size changes, taskbar size changes, but the text size does not change. With this not working, it appears there is no way to adjust font size (at least when Aero is disabled).

HomeGroup: Cannot Access Main C: Drive Or Change User Settings
I am running Windows 7 RC.  I have been running this OS for about a week now.  Yesterday I had a power outage and when I booted back up I have had several problems.  I cannot access my main root drive.  ( C: ) I keep getting access denied errors.  Also, I am prevented from making any user changes.  I think this is somehow related to “Homegroup”.

The PC was in the HOMEGROUP mode when it had the power failure.  When I bring up homegroup from control panel it says that I have created a homegroup on the network.  It will not let me change any settings to it.  I cannot join it because it will not accept the password that I created when I created the homegroup.

When I look at the drives from Windows Explorer they have a symbol on its icon I am not familiar with.  I think it is the homegroup icon.  It looks like 2 people side by side.  When ever I click on them, I get a pop up that says, “Location is not available C:is not accessible.  Access is denied”.  I think that the homegroup settings need to be reset.  Can you help me with this?  Any suggestions?

Display More Than 2 Screens
I have a windows 7 home premium 64 systerm which was running debian linux with 8 22" LCD screens.  4 of the screens are connected to a matching pair of nVidia 9500 GT PCIe cards with the SLI cable between them, and the other 4 are connected to a matching pair of nVidia FX 5500 PCI cards.  Each card has 2 22" LCD monitors attached via DVI or VGA connectors, and all the cards appear in the device wizard.

The 2 FX 5500's say they are working properly, but only screen 0 appears to work off each card.  Screen 1 on each is getting no signal at all and their existence is not even noticed y the o/s.  I have the newest nVidia drivers downloaded and installed, but when you look closely you find they are only for vista-32, not win 7-64.  Is there a way to get the 2nd screens on each card to work?  They did work with Win/98. LOL.

The 2 9500 GT's both are getting "Code 43" errors saying the hardware isn't working properly. They are matching cards and work just fine under linux. I also have installed the newest win 7-64 drivers for them from nvidia.

I am trying to get this working to run Tradestation with 8 screens.  I only have 2 PCIe slots.  The other 3 are PCI.  Currently I am living with running it off 4 screens under vista-64 on a laptop.

Any suggestons that might help me get it to work?

2 Monitors Not Showing Display
I have recently installed windows 7 now for a while. Before 7 I had vista and then xp, both which I used dual monitors.

Since switching to windows 7, dual display does not work any more, I have two monitors which I tried with the addtional main display, both of them power up with the light displayed on the monitor, but there is no input detected by the monitors.

I have swapped my graphics card now twice at pcworld 9800GT pci-e, so I know its not the graphics card. Monitors I am using have VGA connetions but have a adapter to fit into the dvi port.

One mointor I have tried is this one Octigen-Welcome to Octigen The other one is a stock flat screen I got from packard bell I have no link for that one. I have no Idea what I am not doing right, help, something in windows which is not working?

On Screen Display Addition
In version of windows previous with some software neat onscreen display (OSD) has come up to indicate a neat way of the user assessing the result of their action.

For example, brightness control up or down, contrast up or down, volume control. These are all very similar to the current function of laptop/lcd/projector OSD that come up when selecting windows button and P together.

In win7 a neat little icon bar appears with the selections to be made Lastly, every manufacturer has a different OSD. Some have nice simple ones, some have complex cluttered ones. If microsoft did the hard yards and made a sleek, sexy and fun one this would appease alot of pain.

Can we please incorperate this into the new shell? It will be a great addition to win7..

Display Lost During Bootup
I've been using 7 for a couple weeks now, but I'm still facing a huge annoyance. When windows is booting up, the display will suddenly cut out leaving me with a blank screen. This usually leads me to wait until its booted up, switch the DVI spot on the video card, turn the PC off then boot up again.

I just repeat this until the display works again which usually takes a bunch of attempts. I've seen other people having this problem, but only when using multiple displays. I'm just using one monitor. Is there any way to fix this?

My specs are Q6600, ASUS P5Q PRO, Radeon HD4850

HP Ze4325us Display Problem
I've got an HP ze4325us Laptop. I've upgraded the RAM to 1GB, and it's got a 40GB hard drive in it. Runs XP just fine. Vista won't hardly run at all (although Vista gave me the same display problems I'm running into with 7, but wasn't worth trying to fix). I installed 7 on there, and with the exception of the display problem described below it runs great! I really want to get it working, so I'm hoping someone will give me some assistance.

Here's the deal:

Upon initial install of 7, I get in Device Manger my display listed as "Standard VGA Adapter", but it has an exclamation mark next to it. The display only works at 640x480 (does not even fill the screen) and at 4 bit color (which is awful to look at). When I try to install drivers (first tried the XP driver) The display then is listed as Radeon IGP 320M, but still has the exclamation point, and the display doesn't change. Under properties I get a message with something about the device is not able to find sufficient resources (which I don't quite understand how that's possible).

I've tried some hacked ATI drivers, but I get something about not having a low level driver.

Any ideas or things to try? I really want this to work!
