Jun 15, 2012As it stands right now, my Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Card will not allow me to plug in my headphones via the front panel of my desktop. (This makes sense, as the onboard audio solution was disabled upon installation of the card.)Thinking that this would only be a minor setback, I purchased a simple Y audio cable that enabled me to plug in both the speakers and the headphones at the same time.Unfortunately, this does *not* work as well as I intended. (It merely reduces the output of each, while simultaneous emitting sound. Nothing is muted.) Furthermore, it seems I can not get my card to actually *detect* the headphones.

Sep 24, 2012I recently bought Creative A500 5.1 surround sound speakers for my PC. I then bought an internal sound card as i only had 2 speaker inputs on my pc, but then found out that my motherboard has only 1 PCI slot. So i had to buy an external sound card for the surround sound to work (this one) I connected it all up, put the wires in the correct places, but the rear speakers do not play any sound. I know they work, as I put the rear jack into the front output to test them. If I go into sound, then try to configure it to 5.1 I don't have the option to select rear speakers. (picture of what i mean) I can't go into enhancements to select fill speakers either as the tab isn't showing up in properties. And also, as I'm using an external sound card (USB), nothing shows up in Realtek HD audio manager, so I'm not able to do it from there.

Feb 3, 2009So my creative sound drivers (newest from the website) only seem to be running at 32 bit. Is this going to affect sound quality or cause problems at all? Is there any way to get them working at 64 bit? Will this affect performance in games? I can't use the beta drivers that are posted because the X-Fi Titanium isn't listed there (unless there was an omission).

Jul 22, 2009i'm about to purchase the creative X-Fi xtreme audio, PCI-E or regular version.
i have read that creative (what sh*theads) has disabled many features on that card
and later on released a driver that enabled the features and demanded $$$$ for it. (can you go any lower than that you douche-bags?)
so, I've also read about Daniel Kawakami own Modified creative drivers for vista
that enables all of the disabled features and especially the one i'm buying the card for: DD LIVE. which is enabled by default in the more expensive cards like the X-Fi platinum.
to sum it all up, few question here:
1. Where can i find Daniel's drivers? (i know he had a clash with creative and removed the drivers but certainly someone has it or uploaded it).
2. does the modified vista drivers work on Windows 7 X64?
3. does anyone here have the mentioned card or other X-Fi cards with Daniel's drivers installed on his WIN 7 and can confirm that DD Live is working?

Jan 26, 2011Keep getting the warning flag with the red cross left bottom screen saying security centre turned off Go to turn it on and get a message The windows security center service can't be started . If I go to services and go to the security center i find it disabled restart it but after a few seconds it's back to disabled again Have run malwarebyts in safe mode and got 8 problems cleared them up but still no go When it first happened is was getting redirected IM results and it has stoped me doing a system restore after malwarebyts run i don't get the redirects but still no restore and still not able to start security center
I Think thay i have got rid of the main problem but still left some problems in the reg. or have a rootkit I did try rkill then dtss rootkit remover that did show results but then blue screens me.
