Can't Stream To Samsung TV
I just got a new Samsung LN46B750 TV. On the PC side I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (RTM).
The Samsung sever app does what it says it will do, although it's not terribly exciting.
I would like to be able to stream from Media Player (and, ultimately, Media Center). Media Player can see the TV but the TV does not see Media Player when I try to Play To. MP gets hung with a message "Contacting Media Server".
(The TV has the latest firmware updates.)
Can someone tell me what I need to enable to make this work?

Can't Set Native Resolution For Samsung 22 Monitor
I don't know whether this is a Windows 7 problem or a Catalyst problem, but here goes... I have installed Windows 7 (clean) and the latest Catalyst drivers for my ATI HD4850 card. My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW, a 22" panel with a native res of 1680 x 1050. I have installed the monitor driver from Samsung's website and the monitor is now showing correctly in device manager. When I right click on the desktop and choose "screen resolution", the "change the appearance of your display" screen offers only "display device on DVI" ion the drop down menu, not the Samsung monitor, and does not offer me the native resolution. The nearest is 1440 x 900. If I click "advanced" I'm taken to the catalyst driver screen which correctly identifies the monitor, but bizarrely still offers only the same choices of resolution as the Windows 7 screen. 1680 x 1050 just isn't there. Can anyone help me get my monitor to run at native res in Windows 7?

Samsung External DVD Won't Work
I did install win7 from a USB-stick following instructions on a forum, formatting this and making it bootable with all tools from the Win-7 DVD and it worked great. But now I did get me an external DVD burner (Samsung SE S084) and would love to use it. If I plug it into my old XP notebook, it works without installing any drivers. So does it when I boot the Linux partition on my netbook, I can boot from it too, But it just won't show in the explorer when I plug it in the netbook and boot Win7. It is shown in the device manager, it has CD.sys as driver and is reported as working fine (I don't really agree on that;-) Driver update is grayed out. So, what can I do, besides switching to Ubuntu, to start using my DVD?

Samsung And Sony Ethernet DLNA TV's Connectivity
I have been running RC 7100 since day one of release and I'm very happy with it and am setting up the infrastructure to use it when released in the near future. I have a PC set up in my home office that is on 24/7 to record and store Recorded TV content and wish to stream this to the upstairs and downstairs TV's. I have some renovations going on and so I installed Cat 6 to both locations from my home office. (It's fast by the way some three times over XP on large 4 gig files at 60megbytes per second compared to 23 on XP.) Anyway I need to purchase a TV for downstairs as I have an older CRT TV with only composite connection. From what I researched Sony and Samsung both have Plasma and LCD TV's with Ethernet connections using DLNA. Does that mean I just plug in the network cable direct to the tv and it will play all media on my media PC? So my questions are: If I were to buy a TV with ethernet connection now before Windows 7 release is it compatible with Windows 7 because it uses DLNA as say an xbox does? Do the TV's use and interface that looks and feels like the Media Centre user interface? HOW I PLAY RECORDED TV AT PRESENT On my upstairs TV which is a cheapish buy adequite LCD TV with DVI in. So I connect my Windows 7 notebook to the gigabit network and play to the TV using the DVI out. It works for now and is a good test on what it feels like to be in bed with the wife and to use the media centre like a TV not like a pc as I have a dell infrared detector and media center remote that came with my vista OS when it arrived. I have researed media extenders but I just want a simple plug and play setup without the clutter. We are behind in Australia regarding internet TV and Movies on demand but it's just emerging too and my isp is offering these services in the upcoming months. Anyway I would appreciate any comments by those that use ethernet TV's and what limitations there are if any and also about the user interface they run. I have read up on this at http://www.obsessable.com/feature/home-media-streaming-101-dlna-explained/ and other places but I cannot find specifics.

DVB Stream Is Interrupted
I am using a DVB-T receiver Intel CE9500 without any problems under XP. With Windows 7 the DVB-stream is interrupted every 2 or 3 seconds for 1 second. I am using DVBviewer, that requires BDA drivers and under Windows 7 I am using the system default MPEG2 decoder. The driver for Windows 7 was found by Windows Update "Intel CE9500 DVB-T (Enh) Receiver" v 2.1.0.136 Anyone experiencing the same issue? Or any hint?

Stream Media Files To Library From Network
Can you stream media files you added to your library from your network(Ubuntu box to be specific) through Windows 7 to networked devices(like PS3/Xbox)? Ive tried googling it but no luck.. So I have an Ubuntu box that houses all my media, I wanted to add the media folders to WMP library in Windows7, which I did. Now I would like to stream those files using the built in DLNA in WMP on the Windows7 machine to other networked devices like PS3, Xbox, whatever. I can see files I added to the library directly on the local computer through the PS3 and Xbox, and play them too, but I don't see any that were added via the network. I think its a "feature" preventing the Windows7 machine from sharing/streaming those networked locations, is there advanced settings or reg edits I can change? I want my Windows7 machine to own those locations and act like they are it's own.. Read more at the forum...

Not Able To Stream Video Or Load Web Pages With Intensive Flash
I have searched this forum for an answer. I upgraded from Vista Ultimate to Win 7 Ultimate. Previous to this point I could stream video and access websites with intensive flash (essentially any site with some sort of streaming video). I have a system with a ASUS motherboard, amd athelon 64 dual core and nVidia drivers for the onboard Nic specifically. nVidia also for the Video card itself. System is connected to a Netgear router along with 3 other PC's. Other PC's have no connection problem. Their OS's are pre-Win 7. I tried some suggestions mentioned on this site. Upgraded Netgear router to lasted version of software. Connected directly to broadband modem. No change. Looking for other suggestion/solutions.

I even tried replacing the quick launch icon with the Windows Explorer Desktop icon. It still thinks I need to use the libary. When I use programs like Mp3tag when I return to the menu after editing an album, I have to change the path back to the drive where I am working. Is there a way to change the default folder view from 'Library' to 'Computer' ?

DLNA Samsung TV
I have a Samsung LN40A750 TV and apparently for the "A" versions you can no longer get the linkstick. I ordered a "B" version of the linkstick but it didn't work (it said it wouldn't but I figured I'd try it anyway). In the end I settled on purchasing a Linksys WET610N Wireless bridge. That worked as the TV has an IP address and I can use WiseLink to see the content being shared from the computers on my network. The PLAYTO feature in Windows is what really want to work with this lashup but the TV is not recognized by Windows 7 as a device.  Any thoughts on how to get the TV to be recognized as a device while connected to the bridge? Is this something provided by the linkstick for this TV? BTW, it does identify the WET610N wireless bridge as a device in Windows. I have a Samsung Omnia 2 phone. It too is DLNA compliant and I can PLAYTO that device.

'doesn't Have A Valid IP Adress' Error
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. Evaluation version 7100. The driver for the ethernet connection is some sort of Intel driver built in with the Dell E520 Motherboard. The thing is, the wireless works. I use a D-Link Xtreme N Desktop Adaptor (DWA-552). But my computer is in such an awkward location in the house that it's not really an excellent option, so I got 20m of ethernet cable to hook up my PC to the router which is a D-Link DI-614+. The Router and modem are connected to a PC that is running Windows XP. When I plug in the cable to my computer it sorts it out for a while but it ends up saying it doesn't have a valid IP address? This only occurs with the ethernet cable and not the wireless. Could this be a case that my computer is too advanced? What if I rolled back to 32-bit or XP? The drivers for the DI-614 are already at the latest, and D-Link discontinued support for it like 5 years ago. There are several other computers in the network and they work with the ethernet cable and wireless too, but they're all XP. So it's probably something with Windows 7. Having stable connection to the internet is just the main goal I want here.

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing. Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color. This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem. Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

Samsung R60 Drivers
I was wondering if Samsung have released drivers for the R60 laptop that are fully functional in Windows 7, when I installed Windows 7 I had to search for all of the drivers myself, I was given a disk with the laptop but it only works in Vista. When running a benchmark test, the graphics were much better in Vista because I dont think I can find the right driver for the graphics card in Windows 7. Also, a lot of the Fn buttons dont work anymore, for example changing the brightness, turning off the display, showing the battery level on screen, etc. I assume this is done through the chipset driver which I never had to install or even looked for. Also, one last thing, with my graphics card on Vista I get a little ATI icon in the notification area, along with the Catalyst Control Centre, although I never get this in Windows 7.

24 Samsung HDMI And Sound
The sound was working on my SAMSUNG and I was trying to temporarily disable it, so I would not distrub my housemates.... So I clicked "disable" on the control panel Sounds gaget, thinking this would temporarily turn it off, like it does within the Networks gaget (I turn off wireless at work, and network port at home). Well it did not temporarily disable it, it deleted it from the system. I have managed to get it to see the HDMI TV at 1080p resolution, but sounds don't work on the TV since I clicked disable. I have tried every setting on the control panel, such as sound devices, graphics, displays, tried the "find a device" all to no avail. How do I enable the sound for the samsung?

Samsung LN32A650 Problem
I have seen some people having problems with Windows 7 and HDTVs with ATI RADEON Cards. This problem seems to occur with NVDIA Cards too. The problem is when you use the VGA connection on the 1920 x 1080 HDTV, the TV will come up with a MODE NOT SUPPORTED message and go blank. One solution that was proposed was to use the older ATI 8.9 CCC software. I tried this and after the first reboot it worked fine. When I shut down the computer after that, Win 7 said it was installing an update. On the next bootup the MODE NOT SUPPORTED message came up again. I can get Win 7 to run on this TV by using the HDMI but it has the following issues: Screen size at 1920 x 1080 is only 2/3 full screen. No way to adjust on the TV. Display quality -such as text sharpness, is much worse than the VGA mode. Can anybody point me to a solution? Equipment Used: Biostar Motherboard ATI RADEON 4850 Video Card Samsung LN32A650
