View 4 RepliesWhen in the docking station (), however I tend do have problems. I thought initially it was just related to the NIC card as it seemed to only start misbehaving under a lot of network activity and disabling the NIC and running only on wireless seemed to fix it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell E6400 Latitude laptop and I've been having issues with the wireless connection. Hopefully you guys haven't answered this question recently, I couldn't find anything when I searched.
Anyway, it says that Windows Wireless Service is not running when I try to troubleshoot my wireless connection. It doesn't give me the option to try to connect or anything. I've tried downloading the latest drivers for Windows 7 32-bit on Dell's driver's page related to Wifi 5300 and LAN to no avail. I've also tried to start WLAN AutoConfig through Services but I get this error: Error 193: 0xc1.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with the start up of my computer, its slowing down the whole boot-up process.
I turn on the computer, it goes past loading the BIOS then I get a black screen with Broadcom at the top, its searching or locating for a MAC address - progress for this searching or loading is shown on the screen via dots for example "." "..." and then "......" as if the dots are a percent bar. Once the dots have finished, it says there is a file not found then moves onto the windows 7 load up logo and then into windows around 8 seconds after the windows logo shows.
how can I get rid of this MAC address searching part? It never used to show up before, only when the tech guy came and replaced the motherboard.
again the steps taken are
1. power pc on
2. pc loads past bios
3. the computer looks for Broadcom MAC address (this takes up to 20 seconds)
4. windows logo
5. computer enters into windows desktop
My computer before used to load right away only a few seconds, until this annoying MAC address thing shows up.
My computer has the following spec
Windows 7 64 bit
i7 960 Processor
RAM 6GB DDR3
1.8GB Nvidia 295 SLI
512GB SSD
I upgraded my windows 7 beta last night to the RC1 release. The only issue i am having is that now my wireless driver is not working correctly.
under the device manager the error is "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)"
I am using a macbook pro with bootcamp on it, the initial beta public release of Windows 7 picked up the drivers fine. For some reason after upgrading i can get no wireless though. I have tried downloading vista drivers, and just about everything i can think of. I also downloaded the Bootcamp Vista 32 Update from mac, but it did not resolve the problem either.
have using this on pc but error msg is your bluetooth is not plug in

After having installed the RC it sais the driver could not be initialised. Deleting and restarting etc. did not help, Winupdate sais: driver is up to date.
Searching Broadcom's website left me even more confused..
Not sure if I've got the right forum so sorry if I've put it in the wrong place, but here goes,I'm running a brand new Lenovo B570 with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and a Broadcom 802.11n wireless network adaptor.Earlier today I was managing to connect to the internet wirelessly, though the connection kept dropping out. Then I could connect to the wireless router, but not through the internet, and now I can't connect wirelessly at all. With an ethernet cable internet access is fine, and another computer in the house connects fine to the wireless too, so it follows that the problem's with this machine. The computer recognises that the networks are there, but it can't connect.

So just installed Windows 7 RTM (v 7600) on a Lenovo X200s. I have a Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset that I use for VOIP. I followed the connecting instructions (just as I've successfully done with other Lenovos) and gone through 1 failed attempt (which happened on the RC version 7100 too).
I download this driver install kit and when I attempt to install it I get an error immediately. (this worked fine for me on my old X61s)
"The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."
The problem with this is that Plantronics relies on the built in BT driver to work. I had a challenge on my older X61s (discovered it wasn't installing due to internal firewall issues) but knowing that, I took the X200s home and tried the install at home, off of corp net.
I've been able to connect successfully to other Bluetooth devices (like my mobile phone) but the BT headset won't take any drivers. Broadcom's "support" is anything but supportive.
I've uninstalled (through device manager) the BT Peripheral Device & scanned for hardware changes. Still get the same failure.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Talking about the Broadcom Bluetooth installer at Broadcom.com - Home. Everything works fine until the Instalshield process. Fails, saying "Device not plugged in" for Bluetooth Peripheral Device and Multimedia Audio Controller. Bluetooth Radios and Human Interface Devices are OK. Do you think my Bluetooth adapter is possibly just too old? It is a Belkin F8T012. Broadcom.com - Home doesn't offer support.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a MAcBook Pro running buikd 7264 x64. On this build and 7229 I get BSOD about once per day, caused by the Broadcom driver. I wondered whether anyone else had the same issue? Broadcom dont have drivers on their site for the WLAN chipsets, i guess only OEMS supply them?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI have the above brand of LAN on a ASROCK Z68 Extreme 4 Mobo.Router: Netgear DG834G The whole computer is about 7 months old and as per another recent thread it has a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit Pro. However since the reinstall an issue that also existed before continues to annoy me.Namely, the internet at times drops in and out over a period of hours and then just works.CAT 5 Cable has been replaced and tested in another machine and is fine. There is another laptop, older Dell with Vista on the network (wired) that has no issues, everytime my PC drops I check it and 9 times out of 10 its still working.Whilst I prefer Firefox, i normally solve the issue by opening Explorer and using its Diagnose tool. Quite often it will say ' The default gateway is not available' One bit of info, it also continously says I am on a ' Unidentified network' and ' Public Network' despite it being a simple home wired (NO wifi i switched it off) LAN. How do you change it back to HOME network? sometimes the Public Network is in blue and you can click it and tell it yet again to be HOME but other times its not in blue or clickable to change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I just noticed that all my drivers for the USB controllers, Audio/Sound devices and the Networking internet (Broadcom Netxtreme Drivers) have all died. They indicate that a Code 39 is the problem. I tried to load some of the drivers but it wouldn't allow them to install. I did a last known configuration attempt, no results. Did a system restore and it gave me an error message saying it didn't restore properly. I am trying to get the drivers online, burn them to a disk and load them. I have no internet access on that PC and the USB ports obviously don't work. I can get drivers on this PC online. Some I can't find. I did the uninstall driver, disable, all the usual for this problem. I am stumped. Any recovery attempts produce nil results. Thanks to Microsoft, I have no installation disc to do a new install or a backup image.
View 3 Replies View RelatedInstalled Windows 7 on two home-network computers. Everything appeared to be good, including networking, but I could not access printers (linked through each computer) with the opposite computer. Windows update offered an update for the Broadcom 802.11n network adapter, but when I installed the update I completely lost the network.
I had to revert to the old driver in order to reastablish the network. But the printers still are not recognized. The network adapter on the secondary computer is a Linksys WMP300N. I did try turning the router off for ten seconds with the updated driver but that had no effect.
Anyone had this problem?
I have a WDS set up for my district, it works fine for all machines except my dell latitude 2120s. The issue is when you boot the netbook to the WDS it cannot contact the server to upload the image. The issue also happens if you try to send an image to the machine, it says there is no network driver. Ive tried injecting WDS with the network driver from dells website, as well as the drivers package disc from dell. Ive even tried a few other drivers from different places without any luck. Booting to WDS has no issues. While booted, i can pull up the cmd prompt but cannot ping anything on my network.
