Blue Screen On HP Pavilion 6250

I am running a new HP Pavilion 6250 with AMD quad processor 64bit which came with Windows 7 installed and an HP monitor. The computer randomly shuts itself down for no apparent reason and reboots to the log in screen. After logging back in it says that it has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. It says it will check for a solution to the problem but then nothing else happens.

HP Pavilion Dv5z-1000 Screen Backlight Going In And Out
I thought this was a wire short but HP (or the person I talked to) seems to be convinced that it is a BIOS problem and said I need to contact Microsoft about it. So here I am, or at least close enough to it. I have had my computer for about a year now and have had no issues with it.

I switched over to Windows 7, 32-bit RC Build 7100 about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Well for about the last week my computers back light flickers and seems to just die every once and awhile and then comes back to life.

It is kind of rare that it happens, but frequently enough to be a problem and a pain. I skimmed over the forums and didn't see any posts regarding this issue. Please forgive me if I missed it. Does anyone know what could be some possible solutions to this problem?

PS. I have also tried sitting in BIOS to see if the screen messes up there too, and it does, so I guess that eliminates it from being a graphics card problem? Idk, HP told me to try it.

Blue Screen - Blue Screens
I have been using the Windows 7 beta (build 7000) since the day it came out publicly without any problems. I downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the RC.  Whenever I try to install either version I get a BSOD during the install.  The DVD boots, it goes through the first Grey Progress bar, shows the new windows boot splash animation, then goes tot he BSOD with both versions.

The message says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the bottom displays *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000008, 0 x0000000000000000) I have tried systematically disconnecting ever component I could one at a time.  I have 3 SATA Hard Drives connected, which I disconnected one at a time, and tried only one plugged at a time. 1 SATA DVDROM disconnected and connected 1 PATA DVDROM Disconnected and connected 6 GB Memory DDR2 PC6400, 2x 1GB sticks 2x 2GB sticks Tried disconnecting each, reseating, and installing with only one inserted at a time I took out my Belkin Wireless Card I disabled the SATA, PATA, Network, and integrated sound one at a time in BIOS Reset BIOS to "Fail Safe Options" None of these things worked.

I am really enjoying Windows 7, and I hope there is a solution to this.  I would like to upgrade to the RC, and I hope it is definitely fixed before RTM. The last thing I could think it would be related to is the Motherboard itself, which I dont know any way to get around.

Sudden Blue Screen?
I restarted my computer a little while ago and check disk wanted to run. I was out of the room when it happened to I didn't get to hit a key to cancel it. But after it got done and restarted again, I got the BSOD during startup.

Then I tried to start in safe mode and that also gave me the BSOD. I then put in my Windows 7 DVD under the assumption that I may be able to repair it, but when it finished loading Windows Files, I got the BSOD again.

The thing is though, that it was working fine before it ran Check Disk. I was working with Visual Studio 2008, then restarted and it decided that it would start going crazy with BSOD.

Anyone had this happen or know how I could fix the problem an boot back into Windows?

RC Blue Screen - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I have been running windows7 RC build 7100 for the last week and a half. I have installed only a handful of programs so far but recently it has started bluescreening with the error message "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

The only programs I had running at the time were free download manager 3 (with which was downloading a 1GB patch for Medal of Honor Airborne) and WMP which was playing a few songs while I was waiting for the download to complete. The bluescreen seems to happen at random and immediately before it I can hear the PC start (beeping) rapidly.

I have a custom build PC with an ASUS rampage II extreme motherboard (NOT OVERCLOCKED), an Intel Core i7 extreme processor (NOT OVERCLOCKED), 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Geforce 8800 640MB, 160GB SATA HDD,250 GB SATA HDD,1TB SATA HDD, LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Windows says it will notify me if a solution is available but from what I've read microsoft aren't collecting telemetry data from RC versions of Win7 only the earlier Beta's.

RC Blue Screen While Idle
2 weeks ago I installed the RC, and now when my computer is idle I constantly get a Bluescreen and the computer shuts down.  I've never been at the computer when its happened, and It doesn't occur while I am actually doing something on the computer.  It also wont happen if I am sitting at the login screen.

Does anyone know why this is happening.  I guess next time it happens I can copy the error message and paste it here, but this is probably a probable is happening to a lot of people..

Internet Blue Screen
I have 3 computers hooked up to a motorola modem/router built into one form att. The operating systems on all the systems is Windows 7. When I have the internet ethernet cables connected to the computers they all start blue screening and giving me a memory dump error and restarting.

This happens over and over. So i started them up in safe mode with networking and they stay on and run the net fine. If they are in normal mode with the modem turned off the stay running fine. I am not sure what is going on. Any suggestions?

Blue Screen Before Login
I've been running Windows 7 since the end of January without any problems until yesterday. My USB Sound device wasn't working correctly so I restarted. Since then, I can't even get to the login screen.

Once I choose I want to operate Windows 7 (I have Vista also a separate drive just in case something like this happens) the windows logo begins to load... but then it flashes the BSOD for a second then restarts. I tried running repair but it did nothing. I've unplugged the USB device and that made no difference. I wish I could say what the error code was... but it restarts very quickly.

Blue Screen After Installation
I´m trying to install Win7 RC on my HTPC. Installation runs smooth but after reboot for first time start up I get blue screen and then it reboots again and loops in that way until I switch it off. This regardless of 32- and 64 bit versions.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-73PVM S2H and CPU is Intel E8400 not overclocked. 4 Gb PC6400 RAM. This computer works fine in both XP and Vista. I have detached the Floppy-DTV firewirecard I use for TV-reception. There must be a problem with a driver, but which? Any ideas?

SoundMAX Blue Screen
I have two sound cards in my system. The on board is a SoundMAX and the PCI addon is a Sound Blaster Audigy. The Audigy works fine. The SoundMAX works good with the mic input. I have my Ham radio connected to the mic on the SoundMAX. The output on the SoundMAX give a blue screen when I try to do the test sound or if I try to send any sound out. I think Windows made a dump file but it goes by pretty fast. Is there any place I should send this file?

BLUE SCREEN During Shutdown
I just had a BLUE SCREEN during Shutdown. First Shutdown remained several minutes on the "System is shutting down" screen. Then the screen went black and finally a BLUE SCREEN appeared:DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE*** STOP: 0x0000009F

Fresh installation of W7 64-bit on a (bootcamped) Macbook Pro with current NVidia and Broadcom drivers. One possible culprit might be some incompletely installed drivers for an RME Fireface 400 (drivers cannot be successfuly installed on W7). But since these are not activated (due to incomplete installation) I wouldn't expect them to cause a blue screen.

Blue Screen Installing W7 RC
I tried installing the W7 RC. I burned the 32x version at the slowest speed possible and then proceeded to run the disk. It backed up files into windows.old then moved to the next step which required my PC to restart. Upon restart it get to the windows screen where it loads then out of nowhere I get a blue screen with the following error.

STOP 0x00000124 (0X00000004, 0x84B4F024, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

From what I've found it seems to be an issue with my Nvidia graphics card.

Specs: AMD Athlon dual core processor 64x 5400+ MSI motherboard 2GB RAM Nvidia GeForce 8400 120GB HDD. Any ideas how to fix this problem? I can't even boot in safe mode now.

Blue Screen Crashing
I just bought a new Toshiba lap top with Windows 7. (best buy!)Every couple of hours or so, the computer crashes and goes to blue screen. The message says that I may have to disable the Bios caching. If so, where is that function located in the control panel, to take this action.

P.S.Fortunately, when  reboot, the computer restores the tabs I was working on.  But the interruptions are maddening.

Blue Screen After Update
My computer did an update last night, and when the computer started up, when the windows flag moved around for about 10 sec all of a sudden the blue screen comes up counting (I think the "dumping physical memory" ) then the computer restarts and I select launch startup repair, that does not work, then I try to just startup the computer normally, and that does not work either. I don't know what to do.

Blue Screen With Games
ok so I am running the 64-bit of 7 and everything has gone well up until now.  Ever since windows installed a required update any game that i try to play crashes on me and gives me a blue screen. It mainly happens with any game that tries to access the Internet, i.e. Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Unreal Tournament 3, Counter strike Source. and also with other games that don't connect to the Internet, like Bioshock, it freezes on me. Gears of War is another one that freezes too. So does any one know why its doing this?
