where can i at least find a lan driver for my averatec 7100, can't get online to fix other drivers without it... loaded win 7, 64 bit and xp drivers are incompatible...even with compatibility wizard.
I have not had much experience troubleshooting errors like this. I have several recent dump files that have been analyzed via the windbg tool I saw referenced in a different thread. I get bluescreens usually about once a day, sometimes twice a day. It doesn't really matter what I'm doing. I can be surfing the net talking on ventrilo.
I can be poking around checking out Windows 7 features. I can be playing an online game. I can even be asleep and when I wake up, it's there. I assume it's some kind of driver related issue but when looking over the dump files, I'm really not sure what I should be looking for. Hopefully there is someone out there that can share their wealth of knowledge.
I run a Core2Duo E6600, 4 gigs of Patriot DDR2, an Asus P5N32-E SLI Motherboard, an EVGA 8800GTS 640mb video card, and 3 Seagate drives.
I initially thought the problem could be sound related. So I installed the latest Vista drivers for my onboard sound device courtesy of the Asus website. A friend had suggested that the Windows 7 Nvidia display drivers could be the culprit. So I am currently running 64bit Vista Nvidia drivers. However my system has crashed after each attempt at fixing it. I ran a memory diagnostic through Windows. I walked away while it was doing it and when I came back it had booted into Windows and nothing was stated one way or the other.
For the record it seemed fine during the first pass so I walked away thinking it would report something when it was done. For the most part I've just rebooted and kinda chalked it up to it being RC and maybe I needed to wait for Windows 7 specific drivers in order to address whatever issue I was having. But as time went on, I've come to the conclusion that I should try to address this issue as it may not be something that simply goes away come final release.
I want to install windows 7 64 bit on my system which has a raid array. My motherboard is an Asus M3A78-T and my CPU is an AMD Phenom 9950 Agena 2.6GHz Quad-Core Black Edition.
I have never installed a new os from start. Do i need to download drivers for my mobo ready for a fresh windows7 install?Or does it find them automatically on the windows disc? Or online later? I have drivers on disc for all other hardware, but not mobo.
I recently purchased an OEM version of Win7 Home Premium 64bit and I was hoping to upgrade the OS on my laptop from Windows Vista to Win7. However, MSI does not offer drivers for 64 bit Win7 for this series of notebooks, much to my dismay.
Can someone help me locate the appropriate drivers for my notebook so I don't need to continue to use the worst operating system Windows has ever released?
I have 2 PCs and both of them are connected via Crossover cabling directly. Now I have this modem and I want to connect it via usb, I am able to find only 32bit drivers but not able to find the 64bit drivers as the company did not release yet, what is a solutions for this and all the PCI slots are occupied already.
i decided that there are just too many problems with Windows 7-64bit at the moment on my system and I am going to reinstall it. I am putting most of my files onto a backup external, including music and steam games, and whatever save game files I can find. I'm trying to find what drivers I might need to put onto the external to install after. I have the graphics drivers; what other ones should I grab?
formating her laptop and installing windows 7 64bit. The problem is i cant find the windows 7 64bit drivers for the laptop its a HP Compaq nc8430 Notebook PC.
If anybody knows where can I find free drivers downloads for windows 7 64 bit, I will surely be grateful for the assistance. My hp pavilion g6 crashed recently but when I re-installed the windows 7 operating system, I found out that drivers for network controllers, pci device, and sm bus controllers are not installed.
I have a Dell XPS M2010 that I recently changed to 64 bit running Windows 7. Since I have had the computer there have been issues with the display driver not responding but when I check for updates, it says best driver is already downloaded. Not a day passes by when the display crashes and recovers on the average of at least 5 times. There has to be another driver that will work for this thing but I am not having any luck finding it. Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue
I recently downloaded the AMD all in one driver from this link: [URL]. I have a few issues however:
1) I don't know if this is necessary, but I can't find out my current driver version. I did a google search on how to find it, but the results I received told me to look for a "Motherboard Resources" entry under "System Devices" - problem is that no such entry exists on my system. 2) Whenever I click on the setup file for the driver I downloaded, it launches it using the ATI Catalyst Control Center. Is this right?
I just installed Windows 7 64bit. I use a Samsung Rant m540 Cell Phone for my internet connection. I can't get high speed on my road so its a lot better than dial up. Any way I've used it for a few years and now I cant seem to get it installed. It works fine on other comps and I had a driver for win xp 64bit that works. I got it installed on the windows 7 and it shows up as the modem and says its working properly but it wont respond when I try to query the modem or connect to the internet. I am pretty sure I just need a driver for the windows 7 for the phone as modem. But Sprint does not have a driver or program which supports it and neither does Samsung which created the phone. I googled for at least 5 hours with no success ive tried a few differnt drivers and no luck.
