In my HP-Pavilion dv5000 (dv5201) it has Altec Lansing speakers, and I can't find any drivers. I had to clean install 7 because my sister isn't smart, and installed Mandriva over XP. I don't even know it's model, because Windows 7 doesn't recognise it. I installed all but the language updates, still nothing. I know there isn't any 7 drivers, but I can't even find the Vista ones. I'm on my Cell, so I can't download and try every driver out there.
Still got my old Altec Lansings from the last millenium. They still sound awesome. I bargained with Dell when I bought my first ever PC and they upgraded the speakers to get the sale. So glad I managed to squeeze that one last deal out of them, these speakers sound great and have served me well over the years.Only trouble is you can't adjust the setting other than manually. It had nice drivers for Win 98 that allowed you to adjust the surround effects and stuff, but couldn't get these for the mac so wondered if anyone had written any drivers for Win 7?
I bought this speakers a while ago for my older computer and recently i bought this new hp so im using them on my new hp desktop and ever since i bought the speakers they have allways made this high pitched noise .Now my HDD makes the same high pitched noise but not as loud as my speakers make it i feel like the speakers are just transmitting the sound tha the HDD is making but just alot louder?
I have MSI-GT725-074US laptop with built in 4+1 speaker system for 3 years now. I had no problems before cos msi supported dolby drivers was working. I did a clean Windows 7 install yesterday and seems dolby's utility aint working(crashing) with Windows 7 64 bit. And only 2 speakers are working atm. How can I activate the other 2 speakers and the (mini)sub woofer?I installed latest realtek drivers, went into control panel+sound settings and changed settings to quadraphonic/5.1/7.1 and tried/tested them but no sound from additional speakers. Also there is a dolby tab in properties; I checked "sound space expander" and "Natural Bass"
only my front left and sub and main speaker work and if i put the cords in a different hole then only one will work and i got all of the in the right colour coded hole i have tride everything WHAT DO I DO!
I use TeamSpeak 3 and I was trying to talk, but friends could not hear me, everything is fine with TeamSpeak and I have done everything to help, like turning up the microphone volume on my laptop.It is an MSI Wind U135 DX (I don't know if the DX part counts or not),I am trying to download a driver off of the MSI website at this moment. *Edit* The driver did not work And by the way I am using Windows XP, it sucks but you know.
i have an hp Pavilion g4-1215dx Notebook PC laptop with windows 7 and the webcam wont work. when i start up cyberlink youcam, it says: "Warning, No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on". It worked when i first got my computer then it just stopped working.
dv6 i7 HP with a webcam that used to work great inside the house. Now, the screen is just about all black except for the dim outline of a light using the HP TrueVision HD cam. Machine came with Cyberlink YouCam 3.5 and I updated it to 5.0 and still same thing. I really don't want to have to use the USB webcam which works fine inside the house. I went to device manager and found the HP TrueVision HD driver and updated it and it says that I have the latest driver. Maybe I should delete this and re-install? I went to an SSD which runs well but according to them it messes up the entire system and I am a bad customer. The problem existed before the SSD and I really do not wish to deal with HP tech any longer. BTW the cam shows up outside so something is screwy and I cant put my finger on it. I have adjusted all the settings up down and everywhere in between then back to default which always worked well.
..well see i just tried waking up my windows 7 built in laptop camera(i installed the system and everything again but i didnt see a need for the camera so i left it alone)so i want to use it now but its giving me grief.first i had to hunt so hard for the software again to give it a driver and now that the actual webcam is installed- it tells me where the little screen should be when i open the webcam program, ''please plug in a supported device''..but..its in the laptop!its already in there!i dont get it. i dont know what i need to do.

I added a laser mouse to pc and it worked fine now all of a sudden its crashed and my pc cant connect to it yet the mouse does connect to other pcs tried in a shop. Blue tooth settings is not coming up when i click on it either. Drivers are saying all is ok.
Upgraded to 7 two days ago and cannot get anything out of them. Diagnostics tells me they are working and all drivers are up to date. I have tried designating them as default device and no sound comes out of the computer at all.
When I designate the internal speakers as default and then plug in the usb speakers, the internal speakers continue to work but nothing comes out of the usb speakers. Does anyone know if these are just incompatible with 7 or am I doing something wrong..

Sony vaio webcam not working or even detected in device manager from what i can see. there is an unknown usb device labelled as internal usb. its a brand new laptop, came pre installed with windows 7 pro, 64 bit. ive read around cant find much.

Initially the windows installed a default driver which was working fine , but I Had to make my 5.1 speakers work. In order to do that I downloaded realtek latest drivers from your other threads which is still not helping me out. Now, All my sound system now are working fine but still the MIC is not working .
