Aion: Tower Of Eternity Crashes / Causes BSOD
Okay. Basically the error happens within minutes of logging into the game. The application either locks up and renders everything useless or it causes a BSOD(error states that a required windows service ended or was shut down)
Anyone know how to fix this?

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD Crashes
I'm getting regular (every hour or so) BSOD crashes with the following details: This was likely caused by the following module: hardware Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFFA80047BE038, 0xB2000040, 0x800) Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR I run Vista x64 with a 100% stable system that I've extensively stress tested so I know there is no 'real' hardware issue. Am I correct in assuming this is a driver issue? If so, is there any way I can isolate the driver?

Frequent Crashes, BSoD
I recently built a pc for my nephew but had to leave installing windows to him because of a hardware issue (video card was doa, had to ship it back to newegg). Well, we've had problems with it since installing and have even gotten a couple blue screens in the process (error codes below). The first couple of times he tried to install it he had issues where it would freeze mid install (he eventually got through the install by switching to a ps/2 mouse and keyboard instead of usb, for whatever reason this worked). After installing though he said he has had problems with seemingly random crashes. I had him make sure all drivers were installed, but I suspect we are still having some sort of hardware issue (possibly the mobo?). Can anyone help with the blue screen error reports below: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C000001D BCP2: FFFFF960000A9401 BCP3: FFFFF88007D48150 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:WindowsMinidump

Constant BSoD Crashes
'Hanging onto Windows XP? See what you're missing.', says Windows 7 ad... Sorry for this dramatic intro, but those BlueScreens have become too frustrating, and they are everything I'd been missing before. My machine is less than 3 years old. From the beginning I have XP onto it. Then, I installed Vista, but after experiencing constant crashes (BSoD), I downgraded it back to XP. Recently, I decided to give Windows 7 a chance. Before that, I ran Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor just to be sure, and everything passed OK. All the devices were rated as compatible, just as my system (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4600+, 2.41 GHz, 1 GB of RAM; Radeon X1600 graphic...). I installed fresh copy of Windows 7, but the same thing is happening - BSod, BSod, BSoD and BSod only - up the 5 minutes after Login. Just like that! I have only updates and drivers over Microsoft update installed. Nothing else! This are only six crash analysis (of many) within past week: On Sun 11/8/2009 3:19:30 AM your computer crashed This was likely caused by the following module: win32k.sys Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xCCB4C38, 0x2, 0x1, 0x828A148C) Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Dump file: C:WindowsMinidump110809-23421-01.dmp file path: C:Windowssystem32win32k.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Multi-User Win32 Driver

BSOD - I Had Been Having Regular Crashes
Hey Tom's! I hope everyone is well. I'm returning to the community with a problem I was having before. I have just upgraded from Windows 7 RC to Win 7 32 bit Enterprise Edition with no problems. Did a fresh install and had it formatted. Just got my first BSOD/crash, and I had been having regular crashes (about once every 4-5 days) I don't think it's hardware related, probably driver, so I was hoping people could help narrow it down and kill this problem for good. Here's the text of the BSOD: Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.4 Locale ID:1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode:1000008e BCP1:C0000005 BCP2:828D1082 BCP3:8C28D920 BCP4:00000000 OS Version:6_1_7600 Service Pack:0_0 Product:256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:WindowsMinidump

Aion Gameguard Error 170
I have Win 7 64 RC and reinstalled both the N. American Closed Beta Client and the Chinese Client for Aion by NCsoft well they installed without a hitch but when I go to actually launch the game I get this "gameguard error 170". Well I scowered the net and found only one solution which involved Dloadn a GameGuard Folder from a game that does work on Win7 and deleting the current GGfolder and replacing it with the new GG Folder along with a different GG.des file and running the game in Administrator mode. Well I did all of that and at first I thought it would work as it would start to dload new files and patch not only GG but also Aion but alas I get gameguard error 114. If I try again I get "gameguard error 170". I have emailed Game Guard and have yet to recieve a response.

BSOD: Pc Crashes Once In A While , With Blue Screens And Reboot
The pc crashes once in a while , with blue screens and reboot. I had the same prob with winxp so i installed Windows 7 supposing that restarts would stop...But nothing.. So far i have done these: remove the tick on "automatically restart" -> (so i could see the blue screen.. update drivers, with device manager and driver genius -> nothing update bios from asus website -> nothing do check disk -> nothing defrag -> nothing usb legacy support disabled from bios (smwhere read that)->nothing sptd.sys fixed -> nothing Rc task disabled (read that too) -> nothing sleep and hibernation set to never - >nothing run memtest (3.5) but i have difficulties because when it starts testing (single cpu or multiple) at test 2 and 45% reboots. when i choose to run memtest previous version (3.4) it recognizes cpu as pentium 3 and completes the test with 10 errors at test 5. I noticed that asus set to my memories timings 5-5-5-12 and voltage 1,8 , so i put timings 4-4-4-12 and voltage 2.2 (manufacture had these timings although gives voltage 2.0)

NVidia Display Drivers (9800 GT) Constant BSOD Crashes
Since I've installed windows 7 64 bit I have been receiving constant BSOD crashes sometimes over 5 times a day. I researched around and found a program called blue screen view to log my crashes and kind of saw that the nvidia drivers were causing the blue screens most of the time however other drivers cause it too sometimes. When I uninstall my nvidia 9800 gt driver that windows update installs my computer runs fine with no crashes. However when I let it install the driver or install a new driver over that one it always crashes. If I uninstall the driver and then try and reinstall just the new driver I get an error every time saying that the NVidia setup doesnt recognize my hardware and the setup will exit. So I cannot even install the new drivers without windows update installing it first. I have been reading a lot of similar stories where people with NVidia cards are having BSOD crashes constantly. Microsoft and NVidia you really need to fix this because my computer is pretty much unusable for the past few weeks now. Any one have any fixes or ideas how to fix this problem?

How do I get my computer to recognize my cell phone's USB port in XP Mode?Â

Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity Driver Install
Thus far, this method works on builds 7057 and 7077 x64. I can't imagine it working any differently on x86. I did have to re-perform the driver reinstall (step 5+) after I upgraded from 7057 to 7077. First: KEEP YOUR PHONE UNPLUGGED FROM THE COMPUTER Second: Download and Install Samsung PC Studio 3.2. The version I've downloaded was "Samsung_PC_Studio_321_GL6.exe" (MD5: 55B2561750C25BC0453DA9DDBD7DA216) for now it looks like you can still get it from here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...io_321_GL6.exe. Install the software. (note: Do not download and install that new version 5 crap, PC Studio 3 is already bloated enough and it sucks we're forced to use their interface, but the version 5 came with crashing 'usb com port' services and more bloatware) Third: Execute PC Studio's Automatic Updates Allow it to update what it wants (at the time of this writing, it won't ask you to update to version 5) or the program will bug the hell out of you. Who knows, you can probably do fine without the updates, but I'm telling you how I got it to work. Once complete, Close Samsung PC Studio 3. Fourth: Plug in your Phone with the USB cable. Windows will go Beeedoop and Baaadump. It will ask to find a driver online and it will fail. Just cancel out of everything. Fifth: Open up the Device Manager - I shouldn't have to include this section if you're Method 1: Run devmgmt.msc Method 2: If you have "My Computer" on your desktop, Right click on it, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar. Method 3: Click on the Start Menu, Right click on Computer, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar. Sixth: Install the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem Driver Under Other Devices, Right click on SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies, then click on Update Driver Software. Click on Browse my computer for driver software. Then click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Click on Next. Click on Have Disk. Navigate to Samsung's Drivers folder. For me, it was in C:Program Files (x86)SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3USB Drivers2 Select ssm_mdm2.inf Click on OK. If Given a Choice (I seem to remember having to choose, but when I replayed this, it only gave me this one) click on SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem and not the other ones (I think one of them said Com Port and the other just USB drive.) They will install properly, but they won't communicate with Samsung PC Studio 3, rendering them effectively useless. Ignore Warning. Click on Yes. Windows has successfully updated your driver software! Click on OK. Finally: Open Samsung PC Studio 3. On your phone, navigate to the "Main Screen" (keep pressing the End-Call Button till you get home) and in a few seconds it should say SGH-A867 connected on the bottom right. If not, click on File > Connection, then click on USB, then click on Connect.

EXPLORER.EXE Crashes, MMC.EXE Crashes, Moviemaker.exe Error
I want to love Win7 so badly, but this is just crazy. I'm about to go back to good old XP, simply for the stability. I'm about fed up with Windows 7 after only using it for two weeks. Off of a brand new and formatted clean install, with only Norton NIS 2010, Itunes, Adobe Reader, and Firefox 3.5.7 installed, I get constant explorer.exe crashes. Shortly followed by an mmc.exe crash, then it just gets caught up in a never-ending explorer.exe crash that only a reboot resolves, for a short time. All drivers are up to date, and all Win 7 updates have been applied. I've even formatted and re-installed Win7 only to have explorer begin crashing a day later. This is all on a stock Dell Inspiron 545 quad core, 8GB RAM, etc. I'm very tech savvy and am about jump off of the Win 7 bandwagon. Maybe the Apple Mac commercials are correct, another fumbled attempt at a stable OS from Microsoft? After extensive reading, it appears that many others are suffering through this ____ also. Some get it while attempting to right click any icon, some when launching apps, some, like me , for no apparent reason at all. I don't ever get the BSOD, but the computer is essentially non-functional due to explorer restarting all the time. I've done a ton of reading and have tried sfc /scannow, which found no errors. I've tried shellexview, to no avail for the context handlers. I've uninstalled and re-installed all non-MS apps. I've tried everything that I've read, and it eventually starts crashing again. It is very random, and I can find no patterns that cause the explorer crashing. It works for two days, then goes haywire. Sometimes it only works for an hour before the explorer crashes begin. And yes, this is a fully licensed and legal copy of Win 7 Pro that I purchased through CDW. A side note, this computer ran WIN XP perfectly. All hardware has been tested and is perfect. If anyone has found a fix for this issue, then please chime in! Below are the errors that populate the Event Viewer: Activation context generation failed for "c:program files (x86)windows livephoto galleryMovieMaker.Exe".Error in manifest or policy file "c:program files (x86)windows livephoto galleryWLMFDS.DLL" on line 8. Crashes When Loading Up Certain Programmes
Ive just installed Windows 7 on my machine. Running an AMD dual core 3800+ with 4.0DDR2 and GForce 9750GT On the initial installation, just before you have the option to set up user name- the screen went all blue with lots on small black horizontal line across. It hung for a few mins and eventually I had to manually re-start. Off to a great start!! Anyway once it re-booted and after it had checked for the intial first use and graphics, I managed to get in to the system and successfully load onto the desktop. Continued through windows update and there was some updates for my graphics cards. After this I went to Nvidia's site and downloaded the 124mb file Windows 7 64 bit file. All this downloaded and installed ok, however, whenever I try to open a media file, Windows media centre it'self and msn messenger, the screen freezes and seems un recoverable. I haven't installed any other programes yet, but I can only assume it's something to do with the graphics card? remember this happened before I managed to even load the OS propperly for the first time...does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be at all and a possible solution?

SLI Crashes, Drivers
I just installed the Windows 7 Beta and installing all the drivers and software were a breeze. I was pretty amazed at the performance compared to Vista. My boot-times were about 20% faster than Vista and the "Aero" effect appears smoother for me. One problem i encountered was that I could not run any games including Counter-Strike:Source and Crysis without locking up. I have a pair of 8800's paired up in SLI and all the spec's are running in stock clock. Does Windows 7 not support SLI at the moment? I am running the NVIDIA 181.22 WHQl Drivers.

Printer Spooler Crashes
I have installed windows 7 prof 32 bit on a few of our machine networks and so far so good, apart from the printer spooler keeps crashing at random intervals with the error code of 0x0000002. I'm guessing its because our print server has probably dished out an xp driver and windows 7 doesn't like it, thats a guess anyway. So far all windows 7 machines suffer and we have to restart the local spooler. So my question is seeing as we will be a mixed environment do i have to install the new drivers locally or can my win 2003 server dish out the correct ones.

Blue Screens And Game Crashes
I just built a new machine and did a clean install of Windows 7 RC last week. For the most part it runs like a dream, very much up to par. However, there are occasional Blue Screens and game crashes that happen while putting little strain on the PC, in my opinion. I am typically running Firefox, Ventrilo and World of Warcraft when the issue occurs. Occasionally I get dips in my frame rate from around 60fps to 15-25fps. I received a notification that it was in relation to my video card and that I should update the driver, however I installed the 185.85 nvidia driver when I assembled it all. Is there anyone that has experienced similar issues? if so what was your fix?

Win7 Crashes When I Turn Off The Monitor
I'm using the RC1 (build 7100 I believe). I have an nVidia GeForce 8600 GT connected via DVI to an Acer p223w monitor set at 1680x1050 resolution. Windows 7 always crashes (reboots) whenever I turn off the monitor (i.e. I press the power button to turn it off). It doesn't crash if the monitor sleeps (via power saving feature); only when I physically turn the monitor off. It doesn't crash Win XP when I turn off the monitor. And after I installed the June 18, 2009 nVidia (beta) Win 7 WHQL drivers, the problem seemed solved as it no longer crashed (tested only twice and on the same day though) when I turned the monitor off but after about a week or so, it started crashing again. I'm currently using the 64 bit version of Win 7 RC1 but I had the same problem with the 32 bit beta version of Windows 7. With the launch date of Windows 7 coming soon, I hope to have this problem resolved by then.

Blue Screen, Frequent Crashes
The crashes started almost immeditately after I got this computer, in January 2009. They have steadily got worse, until the last few weeks it has been several times a day. My dad is into computers, and has worked with me the last few weeks, even taking it to his house for a day or so. We thought a clogged heatsink might have been the problem, but I don;t think it is. 5-6 errors usually follow within a couple minutes, they are: Event Log Event ID 1000--Previous shutdown was unexpected. Critical Error: Kernel-Power--41--The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Atikmdag--52236---CPLIB--General--Invalid Parameter Atikmdag--43029--Display not active Service Control Manager--7009--A timeout was reached (30000 miliseconds) while waiting for lxdnCATScustConnectService service to connect Service Control Manager--7000--The lxdnCATScustConnectService failed to start due to the floowing error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. This is the order the errors come in. We have ran diagnostics, dad has checked hardware, I am completely loss on this. Kernel-Power is the only critical error I get.

No errors in the system logs... nothing, just a reboot.I've uninstalled, reinstalled several times with the same result. Also copied a working VPC 2007 VM hard drive running XP and the same issue occurs. Gets to the XP logo with bar moving across the bottom, couple seconds, and boom a reboot of the host. After the initial reboot, another attempt either causes a reboot or freezes the entire host forcing a power down.Looking for help here... I wouldn't expect a RC to crash the host regardless.

Crashes With Blue Screen Of Death
I'm using an HP Pavilion DV7 Entertainment notebook. I've installed 7 Beta and had NO issues. I installed 7RC and it crashes daily. I have the .dmp files for analysis. HP has nothing to do with 7 yet because its not a GA release. How can I go about diagnosing where the problem is so that i can see if it can even be fixed? I've looked in the event logs, temp folder under my user name, .dmp file, looked at installed apps, the antivirus (Kaspersky), +++. I use predominantly MS apps. there are a few non native Microsoft apps such as Nero 9, Kaspersky, Blackberry Desktop, etc. any suggestions?
