Oct 4, 2012My cd player reads very slowly inwindows 7, 32 bit os. I have AMD phinom II processor with asus M3N78-EM motherboard and 2GB ram.

Flash Player Running Slow?
Feb 17, 2013i have a samsung laptop running windows 7 64 bit that is about three years old. it has been running fine, but four days ago Internet videos stopped loading properly. they will start, run for about 5 seconds, then pause for a minute or more before loading another few seconds. amazon instant video also shows a connection speed of one bar and the video quality is terrible. i suspected an issue with adobe flash player, so i did a clean uninstall and reinstall. it didn't fix the problem. java reinstall also did y internet speed is good, ping is very low with no packet loss. for some reason, if i have adblock disabled the ads before the videos run just fine, but the videos don't.i was using chrome originally, but switched to firefox after reinstalling flash (i also removed all firefox plugins). the problem stopped for a few hours, then started again. i ran a full scan in malwarebytes and it came up clean. my isp showed no problems on their end. i freed up some hard drive space because i noticed i was running below 10%, the problem again stopped for a few hours and then started again. ie is also having the same problem. i have 4gb of ram, so i don't think that is an issue.

Nov 18, 2011I bought this Fujitsu laptop for less than a year. Its only for my school work. It takes forever to bootup, startup and it sometime hangs when I open up a program or typing.For the bootup, it takes very long time on the window logo, after that the black screen, followed by the welcome page with the loading cursor. Each of this process take a long time. For startup, its not so long but its still quite lag. For the opening up of program and typing, everytime I open up my visual studio, it will take a long time to show up and even if it showed up, it will be "not responding".So I will have to open it a second time before I can start using itWhen I am typing my codes, it will randomly hang and show that the program is not responding. I am still able to move my cursor though.

Apr 9, 2011I'm a new Windows 7 user. I have a Coby 1GB mp3 player that I've been using as a thumb drive for years since the buttons on it broke off. I've put all kinds of files on it from documents to picture files. Yesterday I brought home my new netbook running Windows 7 Starter.. I took the mp3 player and plugged it in the USB port. Windows 7 recognized it with no problem.. but to my surprise, it doesn't show the files on it. So I tried to put files on it.. and it doesn't seem to allow anything but music files (MP3's) to be put on it. It's very odd because my Windows XP desktop computer allowed me to use it as a basic thumb drive and it accepted all types of files to be put on it.. not just MP3s.Is there a setting on Windows 7 that would allow me to use the MP3 player like a regular USB flash drive as I did on my XP system?

Norton frequently gives me an error message saying that 'Windows Media Player Network Sharing Device has high CPU usage' or something to that effect. It is running as a process the entire time my computer is switched on, regardless of whether or not I am using this program.

I copied a DVD from a friends LG Portable Super Multi drive (her computer is XP - in case this might be important?)to my external HD. Searching the drive discovered hundreds of files that are not executable and have the registry naming system in them, also found several .dlls but no executable. Microsoft's site simply says that it is installed with the OS and there is nothing about how to add it. I did look through all the add windows features and did not find it. I also tried to find the .cab file on the install DVD to see if I could manually install it, but I could not find that as the file structure of install discs has changed since I knew how to do this before.

Dec 30, 2010My WMP12 used to work. but nowadays, what it does whenever i try to open it is show its window for like 20 milliseconds, then close. My Encarta 2009 doesn't work well, it says it needs the WMP to play, so does my desktop gadgets. I think something happened. i tried using sfc/scannow but even it cannot solve the problem. i don't know what to do. I am currently in dilemma because most of the Win 7 features rely so much in wmp12. how am i going to use it if doesn't work? P.S. i also tried turning on and off media feature pack. it doesn't work. I am currently using Win 7 Ultimate, 2 GB ram, 1 GB vid card and Intel Duo P6100. my laptop is just a month old but its system is like failing

Mar 10, 2011I can't seem to play DVD's using Windows Media player. I get this "Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. You might need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings." I thought maybe it was my video driver, however, I rolled it back and it still didn't work. I installed the K-Lite mega codec pack, but that didn't work. However, the Media Player Classic which got installed with the codec pack works, although I don't really like the program. VLC wasn't working either, however, I reinstalled that and it's working fine now. I'm just curious as to why my media player won't play dvd's. It's the program that I usually used to play DVD's.
