Ie7/8 Flv Downloader?

Mar 6, 2009

been back and forth between xp64 and vista64 last couple of years and am pretty sure am going to go across to vista64 permanantly. its been a long time coming. so i guess considering how 'internet integrated' vista is ild prefer to use ie over firefox, i currently use firefox in xp, but am wanting to dload not just Internet flv videos in ie, but any flash embedded video from any website; the same way downloadhelper addon for mozilla works, that is, just a click of a button. dont want a program or iepro tools or anything like that. is that at all possible? surely there is a script to install a button that downloads flv embedded video in ie? im sure this has been brought up before and i remember a year or more ago posting at another forum and searching google etc but had no no luck.

Trojan Downloader! Can I Get Rid Of It?

May 26, 2009

nod32 doesn't recognise it avg the same my windows defender says that it found a trojan downloader/win32... and asks me what to do with it i say delete but after a while the same message comes up.

i don't really know where to find it so that i can delete it but i have noticed lots of files that the day they were last altered was from 1998 to 2006 and i got my computer in 2007. most of them are exes from things i've never heard of but some are shortcuts for things that i use in this computer. Deleting them is a way of getting rid of the virus. please notice that i don't care if i lose any personal data as long as my computer functions normally

The Online Downloader/installer Didn't Work

May 12, 2008

I decided to make the most of my MSDN subscription and give Vista a go, since my XP installation was very slow. I wiped the drive clean and installed Vista Ultimate SP1 - with an open mind and high hopes.

It took a while to install, but time aside it was rather painless. However, my experience started to go downhill quickly. As a first step, I opened up IE and went straight to AVG's website to get some Antivirus protection. IE crashed. Ok, so I tried a few other websites. IE crashed rather often, in fact it's not random it'll crash on the same websites every time. So I managed to get Firefox installed without having IE crash - and tried to do all my updating through Firefox (not much choice).

My second bad experience was when I tried to install MSN Messanger. First off, the online downloader/installer didn't work. Says it couldn't install and to try again later. So I opted for the standalone installer (took a while to find) and tried it. It installed, but unfortunately it constantly crashes with various exceptions, seems to be related to the rotating ads but can't be sure. I have even tried to install Flash & Java and still no luck with the wierd exceptions. I also made sure I updated my video drivers to the latest ATI drivers available.........

Reloaded Vuze Bit Torrent Downloader: Error

Oct 22, 2009

I have a question for you Vista gurus that is way above my pay grade. I recently reinstalled the Vista O/S to get rid of a myriad of annoying little glitches. When I reloaded the Vuze bit torrent downloader I got an error message telling me that it had failed to establish listen with port 49423 and to check to see if it was being used by some other application. How do I go about doing this?

Infected Files With Virus Named Trojan-Downloader.Win32.VB.dck

Jan 10, 2009

I turned on my computer the other day and an automatic download started to update my Verizon Internet Security Suiter (FIOS). I started a scan of my computer with the update. The new Security Suite update supposedly found 29,000+ infected files with a virus named Trojan-Downloader.Win32.VB.dck? The weird thing is - When I look for the files that are supposedly infected - or the folder that these files supposedly exist in I can't find it. The virus appears to have created a folder named " ' " on my hard drive - but when I look for this folder I can't find it. Even if I view hidden folders. My computer doesn't appear to be running strangly like it is infected. But the virus scan says it is.
