I was reading an article saying how even law enforcement are having trouble reading data erased using Gutmann. I was wondering what your thoughts would be...Do you think the CIA or MI6 etc could get data that has been overwritten by the Gutmann method? I would be interested in your thoughts. Personally im surprised that law enforcement cant. However the CIA might have slightly more resources.

I have just got in from work and turned on my pc. It did an update as he "configure 0 out of 3 updates" screen came up when it was loading. Now when it gets to the logon screen and I enter in my password I get this: "You cannot log on because the logon method you are using is not allowed on this computer. Please see your network administrator for more information."

I have a gateway laptop p6860-FX. The problem is that I thought when I put a password on the BIOS that if the laptop was stolen the person would have to go thru alot of trouble to crack it. I just found out at Gateways site that all I have to do to clear the BISO password is 1) tun laptop off 2) set a the number one jumper to set three for a whole two seconds, retun the jumper back to set one and then tun the laptop back on BAM the BIOS pw is gone. CAN i do anything to the laptop to make it worthless if it is stolen? This is absurd in a whole two seconds my 1,300 laptop if stolen can be fully used as if it was never password protected.

when ever I look up any website, sometimes it just goes to google says cannot find page. It doesn't happen all the time just when I am trying to load a page and it also doesn't go right away it takes awhile for it go there.
Second problem is that randomly i'll get a Microsoft Windows message that says, "crack.exe stopped working". I have no idea what to do about this to get it to stop.
