I said on another post "A simple lesson in life that Microsoft seem to have difficulty learning is "if it aint broke then don't fix it"". When downloading a file from the net you can no longer Browse to where the file is to go. I realise that one can still get to a sort of Browse mechanism but only in a round about way, not directly.

I tried to press alt+F10 and F2. Tried to boot it with recovery disc and to
get into bios. With no results. The screen remains grey and dead. Can anyone
tell me whats wrong? I can't get an answer from Acer Aspire support and
there is no warranty for software-errors.
i am having this problem that i cant get any sound when i speak into my microphone. when i was running XP it worked, no problems. then i switched to Vista, and all hell broke lose.. i have been reading about this problem all over the interenet. iam not a alone. well what i came up with is this: The recording device is muted from default. well all fine. if i could go in and change it... I CANT. this is how it should look.

BS I know. so, I've finally got Crysis Warhead. the cover looks pretty cool. and the game looks pretty amazing actually. I can't wait to see how well it runs on my system. I'm installing right now. and I'll post back shortly after I play for a while today

All of the previously installed devices work (e.g. PDA, Mouse, etc.), but I can't add new devices.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe other night I was in a rush and I held down the power button until it shut off. the next day I tryed turning it on and after the MB homepage came up for 3 secs on the top left hand corner of the screen it said "Disk boot failure, please insert boot disk and press enter" so i fooled around with the priority settings a little bit and nothing worked. I then inserted the windows vista CD and it would say "Loading windows files" then the loading bar came up and it would always freeze at the same point and after about a minute a blue screen came up saying a problem occured and is shutting off the computer to prevent further damage. Iv tryed everything. could my hard drive be damaged or something? Please someone help me. I cant work with much because i cant even get into windows! :-( All i can work with is the Setup menu
