Need For Speed Undercover, Won't Run Smoothly

Nov 20, 2008

I recently bought this game and I have small issue. My system overcomes the equired needs but the game still won't run smoothly I tried to lower the details, resolution, and all of that didn't help. There are moments that it runs smooth, yet in another minute there's a drop of gameplay speed, though the frame counter in Fraps reports that framerate is i.e. 40fps. Today I also tried the latest WHQL NVidia drivers - 180.48. Unfortunately this didn't render any positive effect in the game. GPU temp while gaming doesn't exceed 54C...

3D Desktop Environment/OS Prototype

Mar 7, 2009

I was thinking about the security of an Operating System, and how that could remain just as organized as a file system. First, the file system still needs headers in the Folders that are the acting Index/list of files and Directories Present. At present, Windows Search in Vista, sucks. The installer should trigger indexing, for the new files and folders being added. When it starts searching, it shouldn't even start with the index, but it should start in the MRUDs. Usually, when I loose a file, it happens because somebody has used the software and changed default folders it uses when and while saving. If it searched the MRUDs first, it would have found it without the index.

When ever you log off of the machine, the index should be updated with whatever is present in the MRUDs, clean those up, and sort. Sort, should set up the index in alphabetical order, and write several index tabs as it were. There is no sense in searching the whole list if you first checked the MRUDs, and the installer has triggered indexing.........
