TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L No Recongnized

Problem Drive: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L SCSI CDrom Drive Computer: HP Pavilion Slimline s3120n TV PC Issue: No CDs/DVDs recognized. This happened suddenly, I put in one disc and was able to pull it up. Windows Media player froze on me and now the drive will not recognize any discs that go into the drive. Doesn’t matter what kind of disc it is. I see the drive, I can check the drive. I’ve deleted registries, I’ve deleted all drivers and installed drive again and still it’s made no difference what so ever.

I was able to watch movies and such the other day, and now today it's not working. it shows up this message: i'm not too good with computers.

C:Usersuser>ping vistax64.com 'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. This just started happening to me. What could be the problem? How can i fix this.
