Rightclick Is Not Woking After SP1

Mar 31, 2008

T7700, Business This problem arose since SP1, and persists after previous advice. It's the only issue amid several benefits, so I would like to fix it rather than roll back. When rightclicking a desktop icon, I'll sometimes get nothing. Rightclicking again produces a NOT RESPONDING and then a white Explorer reboot. Then all is well... until next time. It's unpredictable -- I cannot define the circumstances that will reliably cause the problem. SFC /scannow in safe mode found zero faults. Various malware checks found nothing. I installed the ShellExView tool but learned little and solved nothing

Very Long Response Of System After Rightclick

Nov 3, 2009

This problem have been bugging me for about a year now. Whenever I bring up a new window (where you can browse for files), when opening, saving or importing something into the applications, so when I rightclick anywhere (the space, the folders or files), it just hangs for a minute (sometimes longer), while I see an hourglass-mouse-cursor, and I can't do anything about that window. I can tab to other programs, though. Sometimes there is also the same delay, when I right-click an icon (of an application that does not exist) on my Quick Launch bar. I have tried different applications, like ShellX, ShellMenuView and ProcMon. I've also tried removing some keys in regedit, to get rid of the extra rightclick options (like Winrar).

Multiboot Does Not Woking

Mar 26, 2008

I got Vista Basic with my new notebook. I upgrade it online with Vista Home Premium. Then I wanted to run XP in another partition but the system refused to install XP from Vista. Installing it separatly, I did not get the multiboot screen and to boot back from Vista I had to repair Vista, but then I dont have access anymore to XP. Installing XP first and then Vista, I got the multiboot screen but it did not boot with the Vista option: cannot boot from this partition. Now I am using Vista Home Premium and have XP in another partition but I cannot boot it. Does somebody has a solution to make the multiboot working?
