My wife is having a real problem with her email. She was having troublegetting her printer to work, so Dell had her reinstall Vista. When shefirst set up her mail, she couldn't send or receive. Then she could receive but not send. Now, she can send but mail only receives newemails when the program starts up, so she occassionally has to close the application and start it up again to see new messages. When she hits
send/receive, it says there was an error but the box is empty and noerror message appears.

setting up windows mail on new hard drive and can't seem to figure out how to get it right. I am using a live.com email adress. This infuriating situation occurred exactly one month after receiving the new computer with Vista Home Premium already installed. My old computer is connected as a small network. When the problem initially occurred on 7th June it said "Receiving 1 of 8" but never did and after a while (1/2 to 1 hr?) I logged off and logged on again but to no avail. I have telephoned Optus (Australia) 5 times but they insist it is a Windows Mail corruption problem. No one was able to tell me what this error message actually means. Another issue that may also be connected was when I downloaded a trial version of a home video editing programme. It cut the 30 day trial by about 8 days, finishing on June 1st.
