How To Split A DVD

Mar 9, 2009

Like many iPod fans, I always put my DVDs on my iPod and watch them when I am not working. It?s really a nice way to fill the time, but there is a problem that the movie is too long and I don?t have enough time to enjoy the whole movie at one time and next time when I want to watch it, it?s really hard to find out where to begin. From now on, it is no longer a problem. My friend tells me to split it into small parts. It works and I use Just put your DVD to your DVD Drive and click ?Load DVD? to import yourDVD.

Choose your output profile from the drop-down list. It has many profiles for different generations of iPod, such as iPod nano, iPod video and even iPhone. Click?settings? button, a pop-up window will show up and allows you to adjust ?Encoder?, ?Bit Rite?, ?Resolution? and other video/audio settings...................

Restore Pst File Split

Feb 25, 2009

Was using: Outlook 2003 on a Windows Vista Home Edition desktop Program: Backup and Restore was set for weekly backup of several folders including my Outlook pst files to an external hardrive Problem: trying to restore the pst files which Vista split across several zip archives

I had a main pst file (my deliverable one) and several archive files that were quite large. The computer crashed several times, but I had always a recent backup. Finally the computer had to be sent back and I no longer have it. All of my backups seem intact, as I have been able to restore all of my other data except for my pst files. I think that the Vista Backup and Restore program broke up the pst files into smaller chunks when it zipped them. I am trying to restore them with a Windows XP laptop also running Outlook 2003.

I have tried: unzipping the pst files and both importing and opening the pst files into Outlook, Thunderbird and Eudora. Outlook opens it but nothing is inside. Th and Eu won't read them. SCANPST - tells me the pst files (which have .pst extensions) are not pst files extracting the pst's and copying them into one file in Command Prompt using Copy /b outlook2*.pst outlookcopy.pst - this created the latter file but it is also unreadable as a pst file. Is it possible on a non-Vista machine to fix these files?

Hard Drive Is Split Into C: And E

Aug 7, 2009

I find it mildly annoying and somtimes confusing that my hard drive is split into C: and E:, and an external drive (eg a usb stick) is called D: I understand that there are historical reasons for this. Is there any point in trying to re-assign the drive letters (and if so, how? ) or would it cause more trouble than it's worth?

Split The Work Load Between Both Processors

Jan 20, 2009

I have just purchased Halo 2 for Microsoft Windows Vista. It runs but there is one problem......It runs choppy when in a room with multiple people or a lot of "action". I have the graphics turned as low as possible and the screen resolution all the way down too. One thing i did notice is that when running the game it only runs off one of my Intel Pentium Core 2 processors. My questions is: Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Is there a way to split the work load between both processors?

Overlay On Screen, Split Right Down Middle

Jun 20, 2009

I suddenly got this overlay on my computer screen. Split right down the middle like someone laid a peice of paper over it. Sometimes it fades and you can see the screen behind it. Sometimes there is a band in the middle and the other side is visible with my mouse traveling to it like with a dual screen set up. Is there any way I can find out what is causing this? Everything else looks too good for it to be a graphics card going out?

Can Split An Album Audio Track?

May 26, 2009

In 2001 I bought a stand alone CD recorder to transfer my vinyl collection. I am now in the process of ripping the resultant CDs and I thought this might be a good time to correct some of my early recording mistakes - the most common being that I forgot to manually increment track numbers. Is it possible to split a single WMA track into the original component tracks and, if so, how do I proceed?

Re-partition Disk: Disk Is Split Into 2 Partitions, Vista (C:)

Mar 29, 2008

My Disk is split into 2 partitions, Vista (C: ) and Data (E, each is about 70 Gb. I do not use the Data partition. I want to delete it and allow Vista(C to use all 140 Gb. The Help pages suggest that if I delete (or reduce the size of) "Data", the free space becomes unallocated? Can I repartition the disk to allow Vista C: to acces all 140 Gb?
