I just turned on my computer and my WM account is gone! No trace that it ever existed....along with all of my emails outbox and inbox. Is there any way to get it back as WM also stole my emails from my server so I am left with nothing.
View 9 RepliesThis morning my computer froze so I shut it down to restart. Upon restart, everything was gone (music, documents, pictures). My control panel is also showing empty. Its like it restored itself to factory defaults.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a Gateway LX 6810-01 and he completley reformatted his hard drive. He ordered some factory discs to restore to factory settings but when it loads it up it just hangs.
I made a vista 64 recovery disc and it loads up.. When it does it asks for the Dvd/cd Rom driver.
The device is a HL - DT - ST DVDRAM GH15F SCSI Cdrom Device
It lets me serach for it and flash drive is an option and I have one handy, however I can't just find the driver I need and put it on this flash drive for the computer I'm working on.
I used a 'registry cleaner' yesterday and it wiped loads of programmes off my computer. I got them all back except Windows Vista Spider Solitaire. I'm not bothered about the other games too much. Tried all the usual avenues of help (turn windows features on/off etc) but none helped. Could someone tell where to look for a download site or possibly email me a copy? I'm using Vista Home Basic 32bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter installing SP1, I noticed that some folders had disappeared from my desktop. A couple were folders of shortcuts (easily recreated), but one was a folder of recently taken photos. I know I hadn't deleted it myself because my recycle bin still contains some of the rejects I deleted from that folder, so if I had deleted the folder itself it would also be in there. Ahen I went to restore one of the rejects it told me the folder it came from no longer existed. I was hoping Vista had just moved the folder, but a file search could not find it. And my weekly backup only copies my hard disk, which I guess does not include desktop items? Is there any way to retrieve these folders?
