just bought Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion great game,was wondering if there is a follow up as its a couple of years old? Also what other RPG's do you think i should get,and has anyone played PES 09,and whats it like? as I'm waiting on it getting delivered
View 7 RepliesOkay, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this.The start screen comes up, but when I click "play" a small black window titled Oblivion comes up. However, it will not let me enlarge the window or change from simply a black screen. It says it is not responding in task manager, and I have to end the program.
I have an Inspiron 1420 with Vista. I checked and my system meets all minimum requirements, and my video card driver is up to date.
In the old Outlook Express, I would use Ctrl-U to go to the next unread message, then I'd use the spacebar to scroll the message. Now, using the spacebar moves to the next message (not the next *unread* message, just the next message in the queue.) Is there a new keystroke to replace the spacebar that scrolls the message instead of moving to the next message?
View 8 Replies View Relatedi got The Elder Scrolls Oblivion game of the year edition, a few weeks ago and have been having problems installing on my computer since. I put the disk in and nothing happens, the computer does not read it. when i go into computer and double click the dvd drive it should be in, a message appears asking me to insert the disk. I bought this computer from pc world around two months ago. my computer runs 64bit vista im wondering if this could be the problem? or could it be my graphics card has not got the performance to play the game therefor my computer does not run it. iv done a restore of where i turn everything off in the background to see if the disk will be read, and the same old thing happens.
iv been wanting to play this game for a year or so now and cannot seem to fix the problem. iv spoked to the oblivion technical help service and they still cannot conclude the problem. also i rang pc world up and they told me to try to speek to the game designers and ask of a patch or online download where by i can download straight to my computer. i so far cannot find any patch or download to take from oblivions site, and have not found the number to get in contact with the game designers.
I have a fairly new computer (about 5 months), and I recently wanted to play Oblivion again. When I ran the setup for it, the music would start from the setup program, and I would click yes (for permission to run the setup program) then I would get an error saying that the program has to close. I browsed the internet for solutions, and found that Oblivion was made for XP and hasnt made a patch/compability for Vista. I also read that Oblivion can be played on a vista and that many people are doing it. I found out I had to run the setup program (and the oblivion program) in windows xp service pack 2. I installed the game with no problem after that.
Now when I run the game, it goes to the menu screen (with the option for new game, load, option, ect.), and the first couple times I would go to options to configure the graphics and sound ect... after about 10-30 seconds the computer would freeze with the screen frozen, or the computer would freeze and the screen go black. After a couple tries (after restarting the computer) I would click on "New Game". The intro movie would play for about 10 secound before my computer froze again .
I loaded Oblivion The Elder Scrolls IV Game of the Year Edition on Windows Vista but it will not run. The game's main menu comes up when the disc is inserted but when I click play a small blank window opens with Oblivion as the title and another information box opens stating that Oblivion has stopped working. I am running Windows Vista Home Basic Version 6.0.
