I'm having trouble installing the drivers for this printer...
I've downloaded them from the HP site as well. I've run the setup, and when it asks me to plug in the usb, i do so, and the windows driver installer installs several deskjet files.. but when i run the HP software, it says unable to find a suitable device and closes!!

I just switched to Vista from Xp.I have a Hp Deskjet 5550 printer, connected via usb. When I plug it in, Vista succesfully racognize it and installs the needed driver.Though, whenever I try to print something, the printer won't react. If I check in the print queue, it says "Error - Printing".I also tried installing it as a 990c (I've read about that trick somewhere)

Alright, I have an HP Deskjet 722C installed on my parent's computer (running Windows XP 32-bit). Thing is that I have Windows Vista Home Premium x64. HP is being a jerk and not help me find something very simple, which is just an INF file since that's all my computer is complaining. This is getting really annoying because I can't constantly walk over to that computer with a USB key to just print something. Can anyone, including any Microsoft staff please direct me to the correct INF file that HP Deskjet 722C requires in order to print on the x64 system?

I have a new Vista Premium 64, it has it's own driver for the above parallel port printer (about 10 years old!), which is installed. If you try to print the job will spool and sometimes the printer will spew out a blank page or two, but usually the printer just makes a noise to start up printing and then the power light just blinks, the job disappears from the print job window in vista

I have an HP 6830 deskjet printer (which according to my mom is old, and I guess she would know, seeing as it used to be hers....) and I tried to hook it up to my new computer today, but when I try to run the CD with the software, it says it can't install it because I don't have IE 5.0 or higher. -.- I use 7.0. I read somewhere that some printers need drivers to run on vista, so I went to the HP website and found their universal driver (or whatever it's called), and I looked, and it doesn't support my printer. is the printer just too old to use on my computer, or is it not compatible or something?

I have a HP Deskjet 935C printer which has always worked fine in both Black and White print and in Color. Today I wanted to print a color document and it always shows in the preview as a black and white document (which it is not). It also prints it as Black and White. Yet , I checked all on the printer and it is set for Best quality Color and I just cannot figure out why the preview shows it always in black and white. I have a newer Epson and it shows and prints it fine in color. So the document is OK. It is something on the HP printer, but I cannot figure what.
